Addiesdive watches same quality as Steeldive?

I want to get my stepdad a Steeldive SD1970 dive watch for his birthday, but it won't arrive in time. Addiesdive will arrive in time, but I'm wondering whether quality will be worse. Has anyone had any experience with these watches?

    A hand written birthday card on the day and the present later is still present enough.

        Yeah they are pretty much the same. The only thing that might not be as good on the Addiesdive is the lume, but I have no evidence to support that.

        When is your Dad's Bday? The Steeldive was delivered in 1 week for me. Speckled Jim said 10 days.

    Does he actually dive?
    They look similar to me, but probably only ok for swimming.

    I've got the addiesdive. Great watch. Pretty sure they are near identical.

    Havent got the steeldive to compare but I have 3 addiesdive watches and all are great.

    Quality is fine cept sd also comes in blue and green bezel/dial variants

      Thanks, going to go with Steeldive. Looks slightly better based on photos/YouTube videos I've seen.
