20% off Tesla Accessories Sitewide: Power Frunk V6S for Tesla Model 3 & Y with Free LED US$319.99 (A$475.50) Delivered @ Satonic

90
VANILLA

20% off sitewide and the cheapest source for a number of Tesla mods outside of going direct to AliExpress and passing on support, warranties and returns.

Still the most advanced and reliable power frunk kit for Tesla Model 3 and Y in 2023 so far. Far and away better than the Hansshow V5. Satonic are running a 20% off sitewide 1 week sale with ~4 days to go which brings this kit down to $475 which is less than I paid myself. Great deal on a great bit of kit.

They also throw in a free frunk LED which is worth about $30. Express shipping takes about a week from China

Feel free to peep the reviews on Aliexpress

Out of interest, how is it better than competitors?

If you look for reviews on the hansshow v5 which is the most popular unit out at the moment (but hasn’t been updated in a year) the results are pretty damning. Very many premature failures due to faulty hardware and water ingress and a string of cases that caused erroneous frunk deployment mid drive and a shattered windshield. The satonic has improved waterproofing, improvements on the tensioning mechanism to simplify the install, a smaller logic box, better connectors and no known cases of unplanned deployment.

Dunno why you were downvoted. Fair enough explanation. Plus it looks like you have a troll following every answer lol

This is ozb and it’s a Tesla post. Par for the course lol

        • To be fair, I will take associated answers with a grain of salt. That said I did hear Satonic is a strong new entry~

  • I have Hansshaw lifters on my Model X. Great so far. Been pretty good wit support on helping me with install

An Auto Power Frunk, also known as an Automatic Power Front Trunk, is a feature found in some electric cars that allows the front trunk (or "frunk") to be opened and closed automatically using a button or other control mechanism. The frunk is located in the front of the car, where a traditional gasoline engine would be found in a combustion engine vehicle.

The Auto Power Frunk feature is designed to provide convenience and ease of use for electric car owners. Since electric cars do not have a traditional engine in the front, there is often more space available for storage. The frunk can be used to store items such as groceries, luggage, or charging cables.

By using an Auto Power Frunk, the driver can easily open and close the frunk without having to manually lift or lower the hood. This can be particularly useful when loading or unloading heavy items, or when the driver's hands are full.

Some electric car models that offer this feature include the Tesla Model S, Model X, Model 3, and Model Y, as well as the Porsche Taycan and the Ford Mustang Mach-E.

    • None of the Teslas, S3XY, have the auto frunk from the factory but it’d be great if they did.

  • I'm keen but i'm not handy so installation would be a must for me but i'm not going to get $500+ usage out of it.. suprised that Tesla haven't factory built it but being cost optimized not suprised since most people prob dont use the frunk much anyway

    • I was in the not using it boat and use it heaps now. Also surprised it’s not yet stock.

  • Need someone in VIC to install the frunk kit. How much would it cost to install? Any recommendations?

I know the price of EV will be always going down.

Installed a set of the hansshow on model Y.

For model Y, this install is a bitch to do - took me a whole day to get it right. Biggest issue was that there is limited access to struts for model Y. Really difficult if you have large hands, they get pinched raw trying to leverage the struts out/in without damaging them. Another big annoyance was alignment of hood.

With first hand experience now, it would probably take 2-3 hours.

Would not advise non diyers to bother with this install for model Y.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.

    • Agree 100%. Hands and forearms get torn up on the Y install because the room to work is so limited. 2-3 hours for someone experienced is about right.

  • How do you close it? Can it only be closed from the internal screen or phone or is there a physical button on the Frunk that can be pressed and it closes?

    • All 3. The screen, the phone and the emergency open button in the frunk can all close it.

  • I would stick with Hansshow. Bigger brand and better support when needed.
I wouldn’t trust this seller. He’s been spamming all the Facebook groups bombarding everyone with his product. He’s got quite a reputation online. 😒😏

I’d probs recommend DYOR before blindly sticking with the Hansshow but it’s your car and safety not mine. I am also affiliated with Hansshow but do not at all recommend their frunk. Hansshow reps are nuts for still pushing and selling that thing given all the accidents 🤦🏻‍♂️ All 5 star reviews on the website and all negative comments on forums and FB groups. This may as well be a safety PSA not to buy it and not a deal post.
