Are there any of these blocks that don't just leak their coloured goo all the way down your porcelain?

  • Not a fan of these 'rim blocks' but very impressed with the 'Bref Ultimate Gel Ultra Bleach Power Citrus Toilet Cleaner' recently purchased. Seems to be much more effective cleaner than similar 'toilet duck' type products. Does give off a mild bleach smell when used but not a deal-breaker IMO.

    • I do like the White King Power/Bathroom Gel which is a similar product to the one you've linked for a lot of things.

Toilet cistern blocks are the way to go though for certain jobs. No mess/leak, no smell and no weird basket thing.

      • Don't the cistern types quicken up pipe corrosion and result in leaks?

        • Good point, I've always used blocks, been using them for over 20years, still waiting for the corrosion..

      • Oh ok not aware of the blocks for cisterns…which do you recommend? Not keen on coloured water in the loo

The cistern blocks tend to also make the water blue, but there are some others you can try like this that I'm assuming won't turn blue.

Baking soda and vinegar works in a pinch if there's nothing stronger around/you don't like chemicals.

    • Ironically, as good as this price is for S&S, I'm unable to buy. Amazon (Prime account) won't ship 3 of these to my address…..🤷

Not a fan of how multi-nationals are packaging their products as wide as possible to take up shelf space and minimise opposition products. The Colesworths toilet cleaner and shaving sections are ridiculous.
