    Just wanted to add:

As far as I can tell:

ugg.com <— Not Aussie, sued Aussies and lost
    uggaustralia.com.au <— (this store) Aussie
    ugg.com.au <— Aussie

    • What happened with UGG? I only read about this from overseas when Sketchers applied for the global trademark and then banned everyone else from selling Ugg boots. Incredible scumbag move.

Is the term owned/protected by Sketchers in Oz? Because the only time I see it overseas it's from that one company.

      • +2

        https://www.uggs.com.au/ugg-australia-or-ugg-boots-made-in-a…

Within two and a half months the Trademark Office declared the terms “ugg boots”, “ug boots” and “ugh boots” as generic and could be used by anyone in Australia to refer to sheepskin boots, and that the trademark “ugh-boots” be removed from the Register.

But the most freedom loving country has allowed Decker to keep the trade mark in USA.

        • Thanks for that. I was following this from overseas so had missed the local angle. Looks like I misremembered Decker/Sketchers too- good to have that corrected.

    • +5

you can add this to the list:

uggbootsrus.com.au <— Their sockpuppet attempt 2 days ago to circumvent their ban that ended yesterday

      • uggaustralia.com.au Organization:UGG AUSTRALIA PTY. LTD.
        uggaustralia.com.au Organization:The Manufacturer
        uggbootsrus.com.au Organization:Uggnat Pty Ltd

        Is it?

        • +2

On DNS look up… (InB4 "that's doxing"… no, this is freely available public information)

Uggaustralia.com.au: Registrant Contact Name: Luda Fishman
Uggbootsrus.com.au: Registrant Contact Name: Natalie Fishman

I tend that these companies are related in some form or fashion…

          • +1

@pegaxs: Natalie Fishman owns virgin airlines

It must be true because I've provided the internet link that confirms it.

            • @Muzeeb: Nah, you're probably right, I mean, "Fishman" is a very very common name… like Smith or Jones… It's entirely possible that 2 completely different Ugg boot stores have unrelated "Fishman" as their owners based on just how common it is as a last name…

And a good way to diversify is to split your eggs into two baskets… one into owning an international airline company and the other half into an Ugg boot outlet…

And I am sure the usage of the "Ugg Australia" logos and reference all over their site is just coincidence as well…

      • +1

uggbootsrus.com.au <— Their sockpuppet attempt(i.ibb.co) 2 days ago to circumvent their ban that ended yesterday

if they have been caught sockpuppeting during their ban does that not earn them another month in the naughty corner?

  • +5

Good to see you back Ugg “Australia” with your Chinese soles and dodgy workmanship 😀

Please come visit us at 31-35 Gilbertson Road, Laverton, Victoria

We are open to the public and would love to walk you through our tannery and manufacturing being done right here in Melbourne.

      • +4

What time do you close today?

Is it your tannery that causes that God awful stink on the ring road near that giant metal house art installation thingy?

Also, can you please ask your "website people" to disable the popup feature as per this picture. It's not genuine, it is fake scripted rubbish that turns me off your site completely.

        • +2

          Is it fake?

          https://salespop.conversionbear.com/get_orders?shop=ugg-au.m…

          It's annoying yes! But fake?

Edit: Never mind it is fake, I got a popup for an order that "just happened" but it clearly didn't as I had the JSON open in another tab. Also how is this not a privacy breach?

I converted the times from the JSON into Sydney time:
          It's 10:50 now

    • +1

I own the boot versions and they are better than the australian made ones ….. don't china if they can make a better product …. competing on a global market you need to better or you sink ….. not sure how much market share Australia has globally on sheep skin slippers and boots …

  • Ah sheep here we go agaainn

    • +1

Do ewe think sheep need sheepskin slippers?

      Wolves in sheep’s clothing perhaps.

  • +2

Great timing my last pair i bought off you guys 3 year's ago are due to be replaced i was about to buy these yesterday but forgot.
So looks like i save $50 buying them today thanks Op

  • +2

My Kmart $40 ones lasted 1 winter, $35 bargain even if it lasts 1yr all good purchased

  • +1

These are great, had mine for years, They just don’t wear out
    Highly recommend !

  • +2

Thanks OP grabbed another pair, plus a set for mum current pair are years old and going on strong

  • +1

    Ordered, thanks OP

  • +2

I own a pair of their boots and I've had no problems

  • +1

    good for price

  • +3

Don't know why the hate. Family have had numerous pairs without issue. Soles can be a bit slippery at first (tile floors) but nothing a bit of scuffing on concrete can't fix. Thanks OP.

  • +1

I treat myself to a pair of these every two winters. Great slides compared to cheaper options. At this price it's a no brainer.

  • -2

Bought 2 across the years. They wear out easily but hey it's good for the price.

  • Last scuff deal was 3+ 9- now we have a ton of positives outta nowhere in the first 3 hours, seems legit

  • +3

just went to site and saw the same people last month, the month prior, the month prior - actually every day I checked - have "just purchased" the scuffs. When you lie about one thing, you will lie about others.

    • +2

Agree! Absolute frauds! Bought 2 and they both deteriorated in less than a year and seller did not want to deal with it. When I brought up in their last’ sale’ on OB, they pretended to ask for order number and never actioned anything. Pfft wouldn’t bother with these clowns

  • All these friends or family members posting fake positive comments here are making me feel bilious

    • +2

did they ever plan their comeback! Now its not just fake prices, fakery on their site, its fake action on OzBargain they are indulging in!

    • +3

Nothing fake about my comment on the quality I wore mine nearly Every day for 3 year's

    • +4

I purchased these last year for all family members, and they are fine. We are in Brisbane though, so less use than probably other colder states. But don't write BS like this stating fake sock puppet positive comments unless you can prove it. I'm a member since 08.

  • +1

Thanks, I just bought one pair for the winter.

Only bought two pairs in 2019, which lasted about one year and a half.

Bought three pairs from another store called UGG Express Australia in 2020 and 2022, but no one pair survived a winter.

    • +2

so 2 pairs lasted you approx .75 of a year each, oh which you probably weren't wearing them in summer so they lasted .56of a year each? assuming you wore them for 9/12 months.

      • Just to clarify: one year and a half means two winters :D

I guess you get want you paid for. I am happy about the price

    • +1

wow, even putting down competition, the ramping is unbelievable, as if this 'deal' has never been made before and people desperate for them.

  • +1

Have bought these for myself and family, no issue with quality. Only complaint is the soles being a bit slippery on tile/wood flooring.

  • Have bought from and done an exchange (for size) from this store. No troubles at all. Very friendly and easy to deal with. Been wearing the boots I bought daily and still going strong with only very minor fading from wear (~9 months). Soles at the tip peeled away a tiny bit, but nothing a bit of shoe glue couldn't fix. All in all great quality and price; would buy again if I ever need to replace them. Great for the cooler wintry months.

  • +2

All you crybabies complaining about the seller, show us a better quality, cheaper alternative or go make use of a Kleenex deal on Amazon please.

    • +5

Agree. I don't get the negativity.

    • +4

      My $35 slippers didn't last 10 years. Wahhhhh. :( You've gotta laugh..

  • +4

Awful seller, worst customer experience and it upsets me that they still try to get into this great community.

The negative reviews are real guys and I went through it two years ago. Be aware!

  • +2

False & misleading behaviour by this company…no, So & So from Bumf*cksville did not just purchase the exact product I am looking at, every time I happen to open the page in a new incognito…for this, and the litany of other issues identified by OzB users, enjoy a neg.

  • not a non slip soles, like ice skates on tile with a bit of water on them ….. use a non slip soles like other brands.

  • +2

My experience with them: the scuffs are okay at best. I bought a pair toward the start of 2020 and am still wearing them, however, most of the wool fluff on the bottom has worn out. They're still pretty comfy though. Customer service completely ignored my email asking for care instructions, as mine had become extremely stinky after 6 months wear (it's no longer an issue because the fluff is gone). Need to grab some hot glue and glue the sole back on. I probably won't get another pair after these ones die, even at this discounted price, just because of how they ignored my email asking for help. There's plenty of indoor shoes out there, mum quite likes her Muji linen ones, which are surprisingly warm according to her.

  • +5

These guys are frauds! They asked for my order number previously to try and’ look good’ and appear like they’re providing the best service but never cared to follow up! What a load of garbage quality scuffs. Would not bother wasting my money on this. Better to spend on better quality and pay more to get value for your money. Don’t waste your time and money. Appalling customer service.

    • -1

What's better then? Better quality and value for money product please?

  • +1

Crappy quality product that fell apart in four months

    https://imgbb.com/1R9tzQ3

OPs response was that he never saw a hole that big

he then went on to blame the sheep for giving dodgy wool

others chipped in with their pictures

    https://ibb.co/ZmSvTq4

    https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/27678/91929/ugg.jpg

suggesting that it is a fairly common occurrence

    • +1

Lol. Black pair definitely look like a dog chewed on them. First pair look like they were being yanked too hard to get them on. Maybe buying a pair that fit might help?

      • -1

Some people will blindly defend anything, smh

        • +1

Not blind at all. I actually LOOKED at the pics. How about you? Sheepskin doesn't usually just tear apart by itself.

          • -2

@Fredorishi: Exactly.. No boot wears like these examples have shown. These are irresponsible people trying to get replacement products, but failed. This happens a lot unfortunately.
Note that I've posted twice for all these crybabies to post alternative cheaper / better quality alternatives to this seller. All I get is negs on the posts, no responses. Enough said.

            • @R00D: Maybe it’s just better to pay the extra for something that won’t be landfill in 6 months.

              • @bennybaubles: You could be right. Pay extra for what product?

        • -2

There's no blind defending, there's irresponsible people trying to take advantage of a business. Blind is believing any boot wears this way through general use.

          • @R00D: There’s plenty of other people who’ve had them fall apart on them.

            • -3

@bennybaubles: This seller makes themselves available on OzBargain with these posts. People who are irresponsible with their goods don't always have an outlet to cry about it and try to get free stuff, they do here. The seller doesn't have to pay for poor choices and irresponsibility, good on them for rejecting these people.

              • @R00D: Oh ok I must’ve misunderstood what’s going on here. So you’re claiming all the people showing poor workmanship are actually irresponsible and scammers?

                • -4

@bennybaubles: These pics above look like people who have dogs who shred their boots, they're overweight, or they need to relearn how to put a boot on and take it off again.
You want to really get to this OP? Maybe do some research, post a better deal, everyone will go get it instead. I've challenged all you sooks, nothing.
