  • Is this a whitelabel?

    • Sorry, what do you mean by whitelabel?

      • Whitelabeling refers to the process of branding a product or service as if it were produced by a particular company or entity, when in reality it is manufactured by a different company. In the context of furniture, whitelabeling refers to furniture that is produced by one company, but sold under another company's brand name.

Whitelabeled furniture can be a cost-effective solution for businesses looking to sell furniture under their own brand name without having to invest in the manufacturing process. For example, a furniture retailer may purchase furniture from a manufacturer, and then add their own branding to the product before selling it under their own name.

Whitelabeled furniture can be a good option for businesses looking to establish their own brand in the furniture industry, without the need to invest in manufacturing capabilities. However, it's important to ensure that the quality of the furniture is up to the desired standard and that the manufacturer producing the furniture meets the necessary quality control standards.

If it were made in Australia, let alone by a boutique store, it would be at least 3x the price imo. One has to wonder what 'finished in leather air' means other than being something other than actual leather.

          • +1

@gakko: I didn't even see that. Negging because title says Leather

            • -8

@deme: Leather Air reffers to faux leather, therefore i don't see a reason why we cant advertise it, also yes it is manufactured overseas and we sell it. If u were aware, many furniture stores, including Harvey Norman, get their products manufactured overseas and sell it in Australia so therefore that shouldn't be an issue as well

                @wali2102:

Hollywood Leather Air 4 Seater Theatre Suite

Yeah mate that looks like you are selling a leather lounge to me

                Now if you wrote

Hollywood Fake Leather Air 4 Seater Theatre Suite

                That would be more accurate

                • @deme: Please refer to @gakko comment for clarification

              • @wali2102: The issue is HN doesn’t advertise here and you’re

          • +1

@gakko: To clarify, Leather Air is a type of Faux Leather which refers to the finishing material

            • +3

@wali2102: Thanks, on googling I think you are being decent and transparent that you are using leather air, its simply the name of a new leather substitute which is probably better than previous leather substitutes. It's just that people weren't aware of it. We get pretty paranoid about sales tactics here hence the push back.

              • @gakko: Yep, thank you for understanding.

@gakko: Would you buy my Chocolate Air 500g blocks?

Chocolate air is designed to replicate the feel and texture of genuine chocolate at an affordable price.
It's squashed oats with 001476K flavour.

@deme: @deme why are you so angry?

            • -3

@wali2102: BS. Your just trying to trick people with new sales words that cannot understand English well into buying your low grade stock.

  • Does it accept coins?

  • Mind clarifying to the class what ‘leather air’ is?

Google seems to suggest it’s just another marketing term for PU leather (aka not real leather) 😂

    • +1

      Faux leather

    • Leather Air is used as a term to refer to Faux Leather as we have advertised it.

      • Why not advertise as Faux Leather then?

  • No mention of any warranty either…

    • 1 Year Structural Warranty

      • +2

Lol. If you don't trust the quality, why should your customers?

  • +6

faux not leather and 1-year warranty. What a joke

  • +4

Amart sells the same fake leather types. They are pretty flimsy but at least they give you 5 years warranty. 1 year structural from this lot, means the material warranty is nil

  • Do you have your own stock or are you drop shipping?

  • Original product title

Hollywood Leather Air 4-Seater Theatre Suite

This is not the name of the product on the merchant's web page. Do not insert words that are not part of the product name and which are ambiguous or misleading into deal post title.

Product name now changed to be the same as that used on the merchant's web page.

  • +1

Fake RRP + the fiasco of the "leather air" + mods having to intervene means this is not a good deal. Don't reward shitty rep behaviour!

  • Much like food, you shouldn't be allowed to use the word leather in the discription unless it contains at least a certain percentage

  • Finished in Leather Air. — please check this explanation of what is leather air or leatheraire (Mod)

If you have to start your ad by saying "This ad's misleading, here's an explanation of what we're really selling" then maybe you need to rethink your product.
