Mobile Phone Plan/Roaming Advice (International)

Happy Easter to the Orthodox community today:)

I am getting married next week and setting off for a honeymoon in a couple of weeks.
I am slightly overwhelmed with options for my phone going forward due to the timing of a few things.

My Yearly Amaysim expires a few days before I set off overseas….and I am slightly unsure on what I should do regarding roaming or buying a sim in Aus before I leave vs one when I land. My questions are as follows:

Who would you go with service wise if you knew you would be gone a couple of months? (Sign up to a standard Amaysim or Aldi?)
Would you recommend roaming over getting a sim card there for the purpose of communication if you have given most of these places your current Aus number? (Or just change your contact details if you get a international number)
Buy an international sim card in Australia or in the UK when I touchdown?
If so for buying when I land ,what providers have you found useful your standard European countries? (Vodafone, Orange etc…) (Unlimited calls and text and a good amount of data)

I too have long-expiry Amaysim. I'd renew and select one of their 365d-validity international roaming packs… but I don't need much telephony when I'm on holidays

Dual sim phone, or have two phones.

Felix sim for roaming (their website explains all)

Buy sim in the UK for another phone/dual sim phone to get the best bang for your buck.

First, congratulations and wish you all the best.

Second, I recommend to buy a sim card from the UK once you touch down. Sometimes it can be purchased online and you would get an E-Sim so you can just activate it once the plane touch down.
