What’s a Reasonable Price for a Used RTX 3090?

What’s a reasonable price for a used RTX 3090 these days?

MSI GeForce 3090 or MSI SUPRIM X used in a mining rig for 12 months.

    According to eBay, around $1,400.
Note: These are for the MSI models recently. Some cheaper models have gone for under 1k.

What someone may pay is one thing, but the 3090 is outperformed by a 4070 Ti so a "fair" price would be significantly less than a 4070 Ti costs new (given the 3090 is used, for mining no less, and a 4070 Ti is not.) The VRAM adds some value to the 3090 but would be hard to justify paying over the odds for it under these circumstances.

      I generally agree with you.

I got an ex-mining one for $1300 last September and I think it is going for much cheaper now. 24 GB VRAM is really helpful for me for my studies.
I have another RTX3060 which my monitors are connected to, so it is mostly being used for occasional gaming.
But if you are getting for gaming, I think RTX4070 or 4070Ti would be better and cost effective in the long run.

    • I’m more interested in the extra VRAM for SD and LLM work over raw fps in games.

What model did you grab for $1300? Have you seen them anywhere cheaper you could link?

I bought right after 4xxx series announcement after realizing higher price of 4090. It was from Ebay and I have a "MSI GeForce RTX 3090 GAMING X TRIO".
I have seen some 3090 even for $900 after that on ebay, but the supply might have dried out now. You can check ebay with "Sold items" filter to find what is the typical current price. Also look in FB marketplace.

They were going for $1k on marketplace a while ago I think that's fair
