Hi All

Recently went to Singapore and Jetstar cancelled flights for 3 times.
Our family plan to go to Bali later this year and thinking to buy travel insurance(will use FF points) and can you please share which travel insurance would be the best option (apart from credit card travel insurance).
Thanks in Advance.

All of them are good, inc CC travel insurance, as long as the reason for the claims is claimable based on the PDS.

Read the PDS to see what's covered and what isn't for each insurance provider and the class of insurance you are buying. There are usually multiple different tiers/products offered depending on price.

There's no direct answer to your question. You haven't even specified what "best" means to you. It'll be different for different people. Some people want more car rental coverage, some don't rent cars abroad and prefer more theft or delays coverage or whatever.

    • Are we really expected to read 92 pages of legal jargon that's intentionally written to be vague and confusing?

      • Yes, you need to understand exactly what you’re buying and what it excludes.

Find another company if a particular one isn’t clear. Some of them are laid out quite well and you can skim to the relevant important sections.

Yes read the PDS. Some travel policies are best described as junk.

I'm liking that you can now purchase medical-only travel insurance, that's all I really care about

Whatever you end up purchasing, don't be the guy that puts wrong fuel to a rented car

Recently did a medical claim with Covermore which was quick and painless. Can't comment on their coverage other than medical though as we didn't use it.

Medical insurance that covers dissolved white powder in drinks is what I would top up my cc policy. Bali can be fun and booze is cheap.

Maybe also worth considering a different airline too.
