Does anyone know a way around using Optus 500gb $69 mobile plan on a pocket modem like this one from Tesltra
Tried to use an Optus mobile sim in my telstra pocket modem but the sim/service locks out the modem, only works in a phone device or my ipad 5g device.
Would like to use the mobile Optus sim in my telstra modem device.

When the Telstra device has aged sufficiently, Telstra will unlock for free. Otherwise they'll unlock for a fee. I'm using the same setup, an Optus sim in an unlocked Telstra 4G pocket modem. Suggest you call them and select unlock device option

No, the issue is the Optus sim wont work in a modem device, only works in a phone device.
I assume Optus doesnt want people to use the 500gb as a pocket wifi as they sell their data only plans for a lot more.
This is for $10 if you can find it in a Woolies. I have used Optus and Belong SIM in it so that it comes out unlocked.
How does the device block the sim?
It should work with an Optus SIM as well.
