I'm looking for some phones for work & I came across a Nokia G11 Plus that would be perfect for our use case. However, my employer uses an MVNO that operates on Telstra. However, my question is, would my MVNO Sim work on the Nokia device locked to Telstra, or do I have to fork out the extra money to unlock it? Despite the fact the MVNO operate under Telstra.
Any input would be great!
I think you're comment is suggesting that OP already has a (personal?) device and wants to confirm it will work with Telstra MVNO SIM, which as you correctly point out they could easily and cheaply go out and buy a SIM.
But in my opinion OP's case is looking at purchasing the devices, potentially multiples of them (wording sounds like they're involved in their employer's purchasing process), and wants to confirm if they will work with their employers provider which is a Telstra MVNO.
OP - perhaps ask the retailer you're looking at purchasing from. If they give you a bum steer, it's on them for making the false statement leading to the purchase: make sure you get it in writing.

From what I know… it won't work.
Perchance Boost, but none of the other operators.
From relatively recent reports, even Boost no longer works in some newer Telstra-locked handsets, particularly Nokia.

There are some devices bought originally from Telstra for the Telstra retail network that won't work on their wholesale network, but if your employer is already using an MVNO then it's very unlikely that you will have any issues. I wouldn't be signing up for a $100 a month plan without verifying first, but it'll only cost you a few bucks to find out either way.
