    Btw nice deal OP :)

  • Awesome, super handy on the m1/m2 macbook pros since they gained a bunch of other ports but lost a usb-c

  • Still some USB A available for next 5 mins https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BFGSCTNN?th=1

    Can't find coupon

    • Maybe they are dynamically adjusting the listing page when the coupon has been used a number of times.
I am unable to see the coupon now as well.

      • Sellers choose how many coupons they want to promote when setting the promotion

Seems to be full price? I'm in the market for the 4x USB-A hub. Converting a single USB-C to single USB-C seems pointless.

Well it frees up the used USB-C and gives you the 2xUSB-A slots. For me that’s much more useful on my chrome book.

  • Not sure if i should have plugged this into a power supply first, but when i plugged it into my laptop, it turned the laptop off, probably by draining the battery which was full.

  • i have something like this, different brand, and with option to add external power. so i connect that to a wall charger. all usb slots are working fine if it is connected to a laptop (and the laptop is on). but when the laptop is off, none of the slots are able to deliver power (to charge mobile for example). why is that?

    • This is normal for a usb hub. The hub turns off if theres no connection to the computer/laptop, unless the port itself provides power even when the computer is "off". The external power only provides additional power to the main socket.

      • ah i see. i thought the external will make them always on.

    Back to $23

Why do hubs generally have just 1 x USB-C ports only?

    • +1

most of them are old model (therefore sale, clearance, cheap).
5 years ago not many people make usb c
you see 1 c, already lucky.

    • Weird hey. Might be to do with the controller chip required for turning one usbC into multiple usbC. There is a satechi hub that has 4x usbC ports (and no other ports) but it's quite expensive. Handy if you need it, but not great for anything that goes faster than 5gbps.

  • Word of warning, I just received my 3-port hub (with the USB-C passthrough) and it doesn't recognise my T7 Shield SSD at all. Seems to work fine for some other things though. I wouldn't rely on it for anything important.
