Honda CRV Interior Overhead Ceiling Roof Dome Light Lamp

Good morning guys. My Honda CRV 2011 model ceiling roof dome light is not function anymore. Initially I thought is the light bulb burned, I got it replaced but still not working.

I believe I need a new dome light replacement and I couldn't find where can I buy it anywhere in Sydney. Can anyone have the same experience and know where can I get it?

Many thanks in advance.

Did you check the fuse ? Are the other lights in the cabin , such as vanity lights in sun shade working ? Get part number from Honda and look up in Ebay or Google to see what comes up.

    • All other lights are working fine just the ceiling light is not functioning. I tried google it but couldn't find any :(

      • So did you check the fuse?

    Check the wreckers

    • Not familiar with wreckers at all :(

It's not hard. You use google to find wreckers and make some phone calls/look at websites.

There is likely a Honda part number on the fitting somewhere. That can help too as dome light styles can change depending on the trim level.

You purchase the part and replace your old light fitting.

A YouTube tutorial video will show you how easy it is. Probably a few clips and screws. It's 12 volts - you can't hurt yourself.

        Time to adult my friend.

        • I have no problem to remove and install a new one. My problem is I don't know where I can find the light fitting.

@aiyoyo: Ok. Hold my hand. You'll be fine.

Visit this website as a starting point.

Take a deep breath. Hang in there friend. I believe in you.

In the "get free quote now form" select "request a part" from the first drop down box.

Proceed to enter the rest of your personal details. Get a friend or neighbour you trust to help if you are unsure.

The business will email you back with a quote or inform you that they don't have the part.

If at first you don't succeed then never fear. There are dozens of Honda wreckers in Victoria (as per your profile - you tried to trick me by saying you're in Sydney in the op). Keep me up to date with your progress. Stay strong.

          • @aiyoyo: The wreckers, they just told you.

First thing to do is check the voltage at the lamp (when it’s meant to be on). If there is no voltage, a new lamp will not help.

Does it have a switch? This is the most likely point of failure, after the globe. Maybe fiddle with
The switch to see if it’ll work sometimes, this will also help determine if a new assembly will fix the issue.

    • Thank you for all troubleshooting steps recommendations!
