What's Everyone's Watch Rotations?

Interested to hear what the people on Ozbargain are wearing and/or looking to include in their rotation. Watch nerds or normies.

  • Casual: Omega x Swatch Speedmaster
  • Dress/work: Seiko Presage Cocktail Time (an ozB classic haha)
  • Daily: Seiko Prospex Alphinist
  • Special occasions: Omega Speedmaster

Don't have a dive watch - so perhaps the next purchase for me - wouldn't be opposed to a Seiko 62MAS. Or maybe a statement piece like a JLC Reverso or a Cartier Tank, but $$$.

Hair, freckle and a mole catching up.

    • You sound like my mum.

      • +2

My mums saying when asked what the time is, was “hair past a freckle” lol

your special occasion is my daily

    • Agreed, it's my workin'n watch - especially when trenching or jackhammering in tight spaces.

  • -1

    Everyday: CASIO F91W
    Dive: Suunto Zoop Novo

What's the point of a "dive watch" like Seiko 62MAS if you can't actually dive with it. Useless

    Everyday: Pebble Steel Black

On May 23 this will be my new daily

    Pretty excited to be honest.

    • +2

      Good taste

    • +1

      Got-a link?

      Hella jealous.

    • +1

Hopefully AliExpress would deliver much sooner than that!

      • I'm regional so it probably disrupted their postage algorithm.

  • +3

Apple Watch. It's so easy because it's socially acceptable to wear it all day every day. I will swap out the bands though. I almost always wear an Aliexpress gold Milanese Loop which looks great, but will swap it for Aliexpress leather band if I need to look a bit more casual. I have the rubber band that came with it for fitness, but I basically never use it, just keep the Milanese Loop on 24/7. Wash the dead skin out every year or so.

    • +1

Yup, I’m basically the same. My black watch with a black Milanese band. It does a hell of a lot of other things and tell time.

  • +1

Breitling B50 but also, this is basically a dupe thread from the other day. It may as well just get merged.

    • In any case:

Work Daily: Breitling Aerospace Evo (I meant this not the B50, that’s long gone)
      Sports: Garmin Tactix D
      Regular Daily: GP Laureato Chronograph
      Dress Watch: Grand Seiko Shunbun
Special Occasion: Either my IWC Pilot or Bremont limited edition watches.

I’ve previously had a multitude of watches, including Omega Planet Ocean, Speedmaster, and AT
Breitling Transocean, Navitimer, B50 Cockpit and Colt, Rolex GMT Master II and Explorer II
      H. Moser, JLC master control, Tudor BB50 and BB GMT, IWC Top Gun ceramic and 3777.

    What's Everyone's Watch Rotations

Big hand hourly, little hand 12 hourly…

    • Whoa, so pedestrian.

Mix it up a little, you gotta live.

    • Need a cosmonaut. Big hand hourly, little hand 24 hourly.

  • Definitely the TICWRIS MAX S

Withings hybrid smart during work, mainly for silent wake up alarm and step counting, and notifications when I am in a meeting. Got it from an ozb deal under $200 which was quite pleasing, and it only needs a charge every couple of weeks.
Seiko 5 snk-something military/railway style when I want to look at the dial and enjoy the lume, maybe for a week or two over holidays or camping.
Seiko LC digital from the 70s when I feel retro, it has front buttons that are cool to me.
USSR made raketa manual wind with a really nice numeral font on white face for special occasions. It was $30 a couple of decades ago, and gets occasional questions from watch people, which is nice to have something to chat about if you are sitting next to each other at a function or similar.

I quite like wearing watches people haven't seen before, as I usually enjoy having a chat with people. I admit I sometimes fake not knowing anything about their omega or whatever so they get to tell me about it.

    • Is this the one with ECG?

      • The Withings is old, the first version. It has heart rate, I don’t know if there is a better version now.

    Dress: Cartier Tank
    Daily: Rolex Explorer 1
    Outdoors/Beater: G-shock 5600 solar
There are a bunch of 'fun' watches that I rotate through, like a Laco Pilot, Casio Calculator Watch, a childhood Swatch, etc.
A few I'd like to own but can't afford right now: Speedie, Hamilton Khaki Field Murph, titanium Pelagos, etc.

    • +3

I've worn watches since childhood and feel naked without having one on my wrist, and to people who say a phone is just as easy to tell time: it really isn't.

Yes, I could get by with a smart watch which has many more functions, but I enjoy collecting and appreciate horology. There are also fewer opportunities for men to accessorise than women, and along with spectacles, a wristwatch is an easy one.

As for 'sinking money,' not really. I can resell a couple of pieces now on chrono24 and even including the depreciating/disposable fun ones, my small collection would break even. I intend to gift the heirloom watches to my kid. The 'donate to charity' argument can be used against virtually any hobby or vice.

    My watch rotation is clockwise

  • looking to include in their rotation

    Unironically an invicta joker

This all depends on which car I am going to use on the day. If its the Telsa, then it has to be my Apple watch, if its the F40, then only the Rolex Day Date will be the one I wear.

Now when I am roughing it in the Platinum Everest Diesel, I only wear my Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch

Of course if its an Ozbargain day, with the Hybrid Camry, then its either the Samsung or Google Pixel watch with digital watch face, matching it's silver colour.

Then of course if its a meeting with the wife, then I dont bother as she is always late and in that case time is irrelevant.

As for Uber travels, its the Kmart special so they dont expect a tip with my 50% off coupon.

    Damn first world problems

  • DSTIKE Deauther v4

because I'm a 1337 hax0r and cooler than you all.

  • apple watch ultra upside down.

why do you need 4 watches? don't you know how to tell the time?

  • I wear my apple watch everywhere. My apple watch loves me for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part.

Special occasions, casual events, shower. It does what its made to do .. yep I couldnt believe it either … tells me the time. So does a $50k watch.

  • Mine are:
    Casual: Tag Heuer Monaco
    Dress/work: Tag Heuer Grand Carrera
    Daily: Samsung Galaxy Watch 4
    Special occasions: Omega Seamaster 007
