    Any data on this?

  • hi OP,

can i move from telstra prepaid to this ?

    • Yes, you can. You can ring Boost customer service or use their online chat ('help'—' message us' at Boost website). They will assist you to port your number from Telstra to Boost.

    • Yeah I had to do this for my dad. Did via their chat. Boost is just rebranded Telstra prepaid, the verification SMS even comes from Telstra, so it’s more of a SIM swap process with some fancy work. You could port somewhere in between if you don’t like chat or taking.

      • Thx

Do a better discount may as well go through boost direct with Cashrewards or Cheddar for $150.

    • There is a studentbeans discount of $20 on ebay, but would have to check if this seller is included on that promo, that would brig this down to $148 which would be the cheapest. Otherwise, Cashrewards/Cheddar would still be the best deal.

Condition - SIM however needs to be activated 30 days within of purchase.

      • Is the SIM useless if you don't activate it within 30 days?

  • +3

Wow, $1.90 cheaper than your usual price.

I was asked why I didn't simply recharge.

Couldn't tell her that this way it's cheaper. Hahahahahaha

Had a bad experience with them with my recent order.

Called them for order cancellation and was assured that it will be cancelled upon email confirmation but later was told it was shipped. Very poor.

    • Hi there,
Our apologies, as we talked via phone, it was our miscommunicating between 2 collogues. The staff who received your phone call yesterday was on leave this morning so the other staff dispatched your order. Please ask the postman to send back to sender or if no one receives the mail, it should be back to us. If you need to pay the postage fee, we will pay you back as well as the refund of the SIM.

that's pretty good service to help sort that out. I pretty much scrolled down to see what this downvote was about.

        • And honestly not that big of a deal regarding the gravity of the situation. Send back and sorted.

This may be a stupid question. But if I buy this starter pack and activate it after the price and data hike, will I get the 160GB data from the new plan or 130/140 GB data on current plan?

    • 130/140 GB data I think, because 160GB is a different SIM which includes $230.

Will these $200 sim deals start going up with the boost hike? Got a month left and don't know if I should buy or hold

  • Can I recharge with this?

  • OP, how to get free shipping? It says I have to pay $5 NSW

    • Hi, please select regular post with tracking for free shipping. $5 is for registered post.

  • Hi OP,
My mum has been on this plan since last year and it's about to expired soon. Do you know if I can I recharge another year for my mum with this one or is this only for new starter?
    Thanks

  • Hi there, this SIM card is for new customers only, not for recharge. If you would like to use this SIM for a current Boost customer, you will have to port your mum's number to another carrier for few days, then port it back to Boost.

  • How quickly can you port in/out of boost?

I remember having some issues registering a SIM online that resolved itself after waiting an extra couple of days until it was 30 total (which would make it impossible to weave 28 day Sims in between boost Sims…)

    • Answer is 10 minutes…. I did it last night and had an expectation it would take a day. Then Bam!!!! Had to swap the sim in 10 minutes later…

      • No I don't mean how long until the port kicks in, I mean to say last time I tried to port in, it didn't let me get past the online application stage. It just threw a useless error at me on the last stage after filling in personal details etc.

        • It happens somethings. In that case, we suggest you use online chat to activate the SIM. 'Help' then 'message us' at Boost.com.au
