Moto G62 + Boost SIM Issue

Hi all,

Anyone have issues with Moto devices and Boost SIM cards?

Trying to buy my old man a new device, but the Boost SIM is not playing nice.
It keeps disconnecting and reconnecting from the network non stop.

Boost Sim works perfect in my Pixel
Telstra Sim works perfect in the Moto G62
Boost Sim is no good in the Moto

Moto is 2 days old, and I swapped it at JB Hifi for a new one the day after I bought the first one.

Software is up to date. Tried factory reset. Tried booting into safe mode. Tried the offical rescue software.

Found this thread on whirlpool, but noone seems to have a fix.

Have tried contacting Boost, and they have just pointed me towards Telstra.

Any thoughts?

  • How old is the sim card? Contact boost to get a new one and see if it still happens.

    • Purchased from Officeworks today, but I'll organize a replacement.

  • Is the moto network locked?
    Also get a new boost sim

    • JB Hifi tell me it's not locked. I'll organize a new sim even though I only purchased today.

    I put my partners Boost Sim in (old sim I had cut down to Nano size!) and it worked. Then put the brand new sim back in and it worked.

    Turned the phone off and on again, the problem started again. Doesn't really help me, but odd behavior.
