3070 / 3070ti / 4070 Which Is The Best Value Now?

3070 <$699
3070Ti $699
4080 $950 mark
6700 $420~

I'm leaning towards the 3070Ti as I most graphics intensive will be call of duty

Been a bit of a pivot lately with graphics card pricing so not really sure what is the go to now?

    FTFY:

    3070 <$699
    3070Ti $699 $849
    4080 3080 $950
    6700 $420~

Did you mean 3080? The RTX 4080 is $1699+. Plus your left arm and a kidney.

The second hand market is where the deals at: RTX 3070 in the low 400's. Otherwise a brand new RX 6650XT for $369

I'm not sure I'd pay anywhere close to $800 for a GPU with 8GB of video memory. The 3070ti still costs $849 at most retailers and that's too close in price to a RTX 4070 (which is $899 and has 12GB of VRAM).

    4080 for 950 , post as deal

  • Just wait till the end of the month for AMD to release their mid tier line, it will see further drops on older models.

    4080 $950?

    What planet?

I'd be avoiding 8gb VRAM for future games and if you have any interest in running any AI models locally.

    • Totally agree

My 3080 ti already touches the upper limit of vram even in games today such as call of duty so I already have to tweak settings to get things to fit

I do game at 4k though so ymmv

    • I never really paid attention to the ram. Looks like 4070 then for me, but now with AMD price drops even 6800XT seems to be on the table.

Ray tracing in the new harry potter game does look amazing though.

      • What did you end up deciding on?

  • during last eBay sale 3070 went for $560 (Asus Dual) and $607 (Asus KO Edition)

3070 Ti Asus TUF was also discounted but I don't want GDDR6X. 3070 it is
