Tasting Notes
The Stout Master has done it again! It is no secret that Grum loves his stouts and that he is pretty darn good at brewing them too (ahem MIBC Stout Brewery of the Year, AIBA Trophy for Best Stout, multiple gold medals…). For this year’s winter limited release, he drew inspiration from his early days of homebrewing whilst living in Ireland, where he played around with lots of peated and smoked malts. He also got a not so gentle nudge from Loz, their sales maestro to brew something (for her) without lactose. The result, pretty f#c&i@g delicious if they do say so ourselves! A complex nose delights with generous aromas of cacao, licorice, smoked bacon and subtle hoppy notes. On the palate, lashings of bittersweet chocolate are complimented by hints of dried fruits, warming spices and dark roasted coffee. There are no two ways about it, this is definitely a sit down kind of beer. Make sure you’ve got a comfy chair, some good company, hopefully a crackling (camp)fire and some groovy tunes because you are in for an epic night. abv: 10% Malt: Ale, Light Chocolate, Dark Crystal, Manuka Smoked, Peat Smoked (1%), Roasted Barley, Oats Hops: Chinook & Simcoe

Case of 16. It's in small print. Just FYI.

It's been added to the title now. Pretty important detail!

  • Peaty stout… mmm not so sure about this one

    16 x 10% beers for $60 is a bargain.

    • That'll cover the tax & cans

      • And basically nothing else!

Funny i got a Bentspoke Cluster 8 (8.8%) slab for $30 at 1stC a few weeks ago. Not even close the code. The boss said the excise tax alone would have been $40, then GST, bottle deposit, shipping, etc was a big loss maker.

    16 x 375ML CANS

How hard was that to add?

RRP $150… what sort of wool are you pulling here… when the manufacturer sells it at $115: https://exitbrewing.com/products/027-imperial-campfire-stout

    • Craft Cartel constantly do this, it's a joke.

Exit Brewing is exiting brewing, so this the last cases we'll likely see from this brewery. A shame, since I've enjoyed the Exit beers I've had.

  • +3

Buying this same case directly from Exit has a price of 115, for what it's worth.

The price here is obviously better, but don't let the 'was 150.00' suck you into thinking it's a way better deal than it is ;)

  • Cannot find much (if any) of this beer for sale outside of own website.
Maybe Exit has exited the industry?

Saturday is their last day of trading yeah.

  • RRP $150 for 16 cans?

Shame to see them going out of business, the milk stout from their last deal was a ripper

  • I bought 4x cans of this from a bottle shop in Olinda a few weeks ago and it was delicious! Sad to hear they're going out of business.

  • Thanks for the heads up :-)
Google gave me an insecure warning for your Website though! My greed for cheap imperial stout made me take the risk :-D

  • Hey OP. Why is it charging me tier 2 shipping for Brisbane?

    • My bad. Did not see it's for Metro

Anyone received theirs yet? My order hasn't been scanned by couriers please yet, apparently…
So much for shipping it on the 23rd…

    • Order was shipped on the 24th and I was supposed to receive a Shippit tracking number but I never have.
Might've deleted the email or text message with Shippit details.

      • I had to chase them up to get mine, so it may be they're sitting in couriersplease's warehouse

Edit- my tracking says it was collected from the sender 29th. Not sure that's the same as shipping in the 23rd

    • Mine has not shipped yet either.

  • Package arrived today at 10am.
Going to enjoy a beer or two after work.

    • So whaddya reckon? Any good. Got mine yesterday. Will sit back tomorrow arvy and knock one back

      • Very nice and strong
        A meal on its own.
