I’m pretty sure you can delete games from your Steam account and then essentially rebuy them again. Heard people do this for other similar bundles
I'm attempting this now, will confirm.
Step 1: for the game you want to remove, go to its support page in steam and do the removal option at the bottom
Step 2: wait for an unknown amount of time, because even though the game is now gone from the library, the bundle store page still thinks I own it :-(
Step 3: brief success after clearing Steam browser data (let me add the bundle to my cart as a non-gift) but then on the checkout page:
Your account already owns a removed copy of the above items, so you can’t purchase them again. You can restore these items via Steam Support, purchase these items as a gift or adjust the contents of your cart to continue.
I appear to have failed

@ozbs25: I'm trying to request a refund on the single game that's preventing me from buying the bundle (stating that as the reason). Not expect success- way outside of the normal refund period. We shall see
Booo, that sucks. Apparently you can go into Support, search for the game and restore it there.
This workaround was made available for Death Stranding Director's Cut for Humble Bundle. I take no responsiblity if you lose access to your game and still can't buy this bundle.
I just noticed that when i went to buy it myself. After reading up on, seems the only way to get the bundle if you own a game is to permanently remove it from your steam account first.
I removed all the NFS games i owned and tried to purchase it again and it threw me this error.

Looks like they covered that "loophole". Why do this to customers who have already bought some of the games? They should be giving you a discount for owning part of the bundle, not preventing you from buying it. So dumb.
Isn't that what happens already most of the time? I've bought bundles in the past on Steam having owned some of the items and all it did was sell me the remaining ones at a lower price.
@andigaming: It doesn't always happen. I guess it depends on the developer. Trust EA to do it this way…
I was close to buying heat/payback on previous sales, guess it was worth holding out.
Only really care about Heat - are the other games worth the extra cash?

It does, but years ago you could just add games straight to your inventory as gifts, and either redeem them yourself or gift them to someone.
In terms of this particular deal I can't be bothered since pretty much every title is on EA Play via my Xbox subscription, and Unbound probably isn't too far away.
This workaround worked for me (based on instructions from the Steam forums) as someone who owned Heat and Payback + DLC. You will need to have a friend gift the bundle to you:

Awww dang it, because I own ONE of the games in the bundle, I can't buy it?
You already own some of the items in this bundle. This offer is only available when buying all items at the same time.
Any work around for that?
