Good Wired in-Ear Earphones Including Microphone

Hi Everyone,

After stocking up on a number of In-Ear Earphones, I haven't needed any replacements for a while, but unfortunately my last pair is on the way out.

Previous deals from Ozbargain had something like this one:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/731796

What I'm looking for is a pair of in-ear earphones, with a microphone.

Any suggestions?

Kogan has these, but I'm not sure if they're any good:

Or, Moondrop Chu is US$22:

Or Moondrop Quarks for US$15:

Or these - Ugreen (I've only used their charging cables which were good):

The only similar one that I've found is on Amazon (don't have an account and would prefer to avoid Amazon):
https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0826VMPC8

Let me know what you suggest.

Budget is up to $20-30 a pair.

Thanks again!

I was looking around for the same budget as my amazon wireless headphones had kicked the bucket.
I was specifically looking for wired because I was getting fed up with wireless (thanks apple).

Someone suggested moondrop quarks to me online on reddit I think, so I got them from shenzhen audio amazon store.
If you're looking to avoid amazon I think they have a website as well.

I'm not exactly an audiophile but I can tell when I'm listening to a shitty pair of earphones/headphones.
They come with 3 sizes of audio tips so you can find what fits best in your ears.
The middle ones fit comfortably for me but if I'm out on a walk or at the gym they will slowly wiggle out and you might have to push em back in every 3 mins or so.

I got the version without a mic so I can't comment on mic quality.

    Hope this helps

Basically did the same thing as allTheseLimes above.

Was looking for a pair of cheap wired earphones and got the Quarks with mic based on reddit advice.
Enjoying them so far and haven't had any problems with sound or the mic afaik. You do need to have the mic hanging near your mouth which sounds obvious but no longer used to it after TWS earbuds.
Definitely better than a ~$10 JB pair I got last year and had to give away because the sound and make quality were so bad.
Note that there is a largeish disc (1.5cm diameter) in the cable where it separates from 1 wire into 2 to the ears - it doesn't bother me but some people might no like the aesthetics of it.
Didn't like the tucked-around-the-ear design of the Chus otherwise I might possibly have bought them.

I had a pair like the piston ones (maybe the Xiaomi Pistons) you've linked OP but I thought they were too heavy and cold to the touch since they were metal.
The clear plastic casing for the quarks are quite fun! And they're very light!

I did end up having to get some separate ear tips because they didn't fit me but I have unusually sized ear holes.

All in all, a solid $21 purchase!

I like my Ludos Specta wired earbuds.

  • If you arent too bothered about sound quality and isolation, apple earpods are a decent option for a more open earbud style. They get some hate, but the main selling point is the comfort, while worn and in pocket. They're light and the cable doesnt tangle easily, and you barely feel them in your ears

otherwise, any popular chifi will be a great pick

      They're not even comfortable.

      • I disagree

  • I have been using Apple wired earphone
    $29 at the moment
been using these for years for phone calls and work video calls, sound is fine, no complaints.
