  • Any suggestions on which one to play first for someone new to the genre?

Honestly if your new to the genre I would recommend picking up slay the spire first next time it's on sale. Hands down the best in the genre IMO

  • I’m thinking of getting this but I’m aware of my pile of shame. Are these really good? Meta scores seem good

My pile keep growing and growing and I hardly play anything these days. Still I can't resist, especially for anything like the games in this bundle. I've only played Dicey Dungeons when I had Gamepass, and that was pretty fun. The others I'm not sure but yeah the scores do seem pretty good. I've played quite a few of these sorts of games, even ones that aren't rated that highly and I've really enjoyed them. At $4 or $5 each I'm sure I'll find a few that I really get into that make up for the ones that I don't enjoy so much. Good thing about most of these sorts of games, usually you can just play for a little bit, stop and come back which suits my circumstances right now. I imagine all of these games will run on a potato.

Similar to what ozbs25 said - out of this deal post's linked bundle, I have only played Dicey Dungeons … but its an excellent roguelike deckbuilder game from Terry Cavanagh, with a good dose of puns and meta-level sense of humour about itself.

Also, I was not previously aware of Alina of the Arena - when its description bills itself as "… a roguelike deckbuilding tactics game that combines elements from 'Slay the Spire' and 'Into the Breach', that should pique the interest of many roguelike/deckbuilder game fans!
