Anyone Had Extreme Difficulty Finding out The Winning Score of a Competition/Contest Online

Entered this Hot Wwheel's contest that was posted on the contest page a while back - it got drawn a couple weeks ago so I've come to terms with not being the winning score - however I got super invested over my time playing it and am so keen to know the winning score - mainly as I played it so much I just want to know the score that I couldn't get.

My reaching out to Mattel has come up with bugger all- I've emailed their general enquiries email and they just said they don't know who the relevant team to ask would be. I've tried calling their head office which just goes to voicemail to leave a message- left 3 messages but nothing back. I'm just finding it bizarre nobody can tell me what the winning time was for their own contest. Which department usually deals with this stuff? Marketing as I'm close to messaging their staff on linkedin haha.

Basically - Anyone had any tips for finding out results of a competition online?

Most likely won by a second cousin of an employee.

Any 1/2 decent compatition holder will also post the winning info on the same site.

It may also be that they're still to deterimine a winner. T&C's talk of 'reserves' in case of issues with original winner, which may extend proceedings.

    • Yeah moments like this make you question the legitimacy of the competition being that I can't find a scrap of information regarding it- i guess my thought process was it was being run by a decent sized company so you'd expect some more transparency. I did see they have t&c's around a tie and such and thought maybe thats happened and theyre waiting on a "final" winner - but im not asking for the winners name I'm just curious the winning time. very odd

Maybe only 3 ppl entered it and they canned the comp?

BTW the T && C should have both the place / dept to contact at Mattel and the state or national body who issued the permit.
Sometimes the resuts go to public notice areas online or media

    • had atleast 50 people on here that noted they entered just to go off- i'd be surprised if they scrapped it based off that or if they were allowed to

To me it looks like there are multiple "get out" clauses in those Ts+Cs, including, "The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into."

    • I assumed that was more in regards to if it came down to a tie and the 25 words of less winner argued their loss- not just no correspondence regarding the entire thing. but guess it could be.

I haven't played the game but I would say that with the number of Hot Wheels fans out there, it's almost certain that they will have received enough entries to progress to the "25 Words or Less" stage, where is much easier to filter out winners and losers. Ultimately, though, I don't think they are obligated to tell you anything - in my opinion, anyway.

You can make a complaint here if you think they are not being transparent and following the relevant rules
