AAMI Car Insurance Coupon Code

I can see here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/aami.com.au that there is a coupon code for 20% off AAMI car insurance, its even been marked 'Editors Pick', but I've gone through the whole quote process and couldn't see anywhere to add the code.

Anyone know where to put his or had any success with the code?

  • Likely on the final payment screen. Probably just a small bit of text that you need to click on to expand a promotional code box.

Classic insurance company. They don't want people to actually use a discount code.

i had that 20% discount when i select aami for ctp provider

  • Until when is valid? I have to renew my insurance next month.

Is that also for current customers?

  • I'm interested in seeing if this works code works too. Let us know how you go @Sambuca!

If you click on the link it says at the top of the page "AAMI 20% PROMOTIONAL DISCOUNT APPLIED
Not available with other offers or online discount and does not apply to optional AAMI Roadside Assist. T&Cs apply."
Looks like the quote you got includes the discount.

    • You are correct!

Thought it would show somehwere earlier in the process but right at the end where it shows the quote figure, I can see '20% Promotional discount*'. Thanks for pointing that out, saving me around $150! :)

      • saving me around $150!

Did you try doing two quotes - one using the link and one without that link - to see if there really is a price difference and, if there is, if that difference is actually 20%?

I wonder about these types of 'discounts'….

Yeah I did a normal quote before I found out how to use the link properly, there was a discount between the two

        • There website may shove cookies on your computer to show you fake discount/normal prices to make you feel good. Best to do this from a different computer, or clear cookies first. Marketing is scum.

  • It worked for me.Code is the URL you dont need to add any and comes with 20% off

  • Worked for me - even for the 3rd party option.

  • I have a question. How does it work if I insure my car for market value and the insurance company also offers a new vehicle in case of a write-off and vehicle is max 2 years old?

    I have a 4wd, currently 12 months + waiting period for a new one.

Would I have the option of accepting the market value or choose to accept a new vehicle?

  • It doesn't seem to be working now

  • Did 2 quotes one direct and one using the link mentioned. No discount using the code/link.

  • AAMI gives cheaper third-party property than BD, but it asks whether car is driven 3 days a week to work or study; and busy mornings and afternoon school pick up times. If I say yes to 2 questions, then 50 bucks more. Gees.
