That reminds me of when the left speaker in my car door went bad and I asked the service centre a quote to get it fixed. $400!! I said thats a pair right, installed? They said ONE. I went to supercheap and got a pair of pioneers for $25 and fixed it myself. Sounds great and its still working well 3 years later parked in the sun

I've owned two pairs. 20 years old. One pair failed at around the 17 year mark (break in the leather), the other pair looks a bit battered but are still going strong. I think I've had one sole replacement, and a couple of heel replacements.
Stupidly expensive shoes, which for a change a worth it.
I have to get the gusset elastic in mine replaced. Can you recommend a good repair service?
Sorry, my repairs were done in another country. But AFAIK RM has a service that takes care of this stuff in Oz.
If you wear them every day, you will end up saving in the long run.
I used to destroy a pair of $150 dress shoes every year, my RM's have been going for 3 years now.

Had this for 2 years now - wear them everyday to the office and they still look brand new. Got some leather conditioner and polish for $40 to maintain it. Worth every $
