Annual fee for the amex platinum edge is $149. includes a return domestic flight each year. Normal sign up bonus points is 10,000 points. However if I were to refer you, you will get 15,000 points instead of 10,000. I will also get 10,000 bonus points. PM me with your email address. Please do not neg this as it is a win-win for both party.

Earn 3 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent at major supermarkets.
Earn 2 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent at major petrol stations
Earn 1 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent on all other purchases excluding utilities, insurance (except those issued by American Express), telecommunication providers and government bodies in Australia where you earn 0.5 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent

    Since the ONLY difference is a 5K increase in bonus points this is probably better placed in the forums.

    Aside from the referral bonus, there doesn't appear to be any deals here. Referrals alone are not deals, since many companies run this type of promotions (think group buy). As such, I'm moving this to the forums.

      Depending on the giftcards you are after. The number of points to redeem target gifcard is

      $50 -6750 points
      $100 - 13500 points.

      Dont forget there is also a free domestic rree return flight each year.

        compared to Qantas FF is it 1000 points cheaper for $100 giftcard which costs you 14,500 points :)

      you'd have to pay $29 for sup cards with DJ card (from second year onward) whereas this one you don't have to.
      $50 more gets you a free domestic return ticket to selected destinations
