        Meh.
Just out of interest, why are you posting on an Australian deals website if you're Japanese and live in Japan?

$200 for a wristwatch in 2012?! Hwo gullible do you think we are?
It is not even a mechanical one. Quartz movements cost $2.

I could spend $200+ on a watch and justify it quite comfortably. That said, this one doesn't take my fancy at all.

      • I could spend $200+ on a watch and justify it quite comfortably.

But as jewellery, not for telling the time. Wouldn't you want one with a traditional mechanical movement instead of $2 of Chinese electrics?

        • Like you said, it's jewellery.

As for mechanical vs. quartz, how large a selection of mechanical watches do you really think there is at the $200 mark? You are more likely to find a watch that is visually pleasing to you (arguably a major consideration when buying jewellery) if you look at those with quartz movements.

        • To be honest I haven't looked at the internals of this one and I don't currently know a great deal about the different watch builds…but as above the watch doesn't take my fancy so I wouldn't pay $200 for this particular model regardless of the build quality.

I'm guessing the OP likes the look of it however.

For something well made that looks the part, I'd certainly be prepared to pay a few hundred or so.
