Steam Purchased through Vpn Ban?

no issue on epic, i did the same on steam and purchased a game for experiment purpose. so far so good, wondering what's your experience?
i doubt i'd get into trouble, people move all the time and platforms fully aware but keep one eye closed.

I'm not sure whether you would get banned, but if the gaming industry bans you from giving them money then I'd say that is them giving you permission to seek all of their games for free.

  • Over a year ago, I was looking to buy Half Life Alyx to play on my Oculus VR. Even as of today, it's $87.50 AUD which seems expensive for a game released back in March 2020. I found it on electronicfirst.net for $18.29 AUD so I bought it and was surprised to find that it was an Argentina Steam account that had been set up and the game purchased on, after I made the purchase on electronicfirst.net

    Worked fine though.

    • Great price that @ $18.29. Unfortunately is now $68.99 there. Was looking to do the same i.e. a game to test PC to Oculus. $87.50 on Steam is just too pricey.

You've just gotta keep an eye on when it goes on sale. Usually drops down to around $35 every couple of months

        • Great idea and thanks for the link.

  • I haven't had any issues. Although I only use a VPN to redeem gift cards, and use no VPN to actually make the purchases.

    • VPN is only required during the account registration. I have been using my Argentina account for over 1 year without using VPN, so far so good.

  • What country is worth it now?
