Good price for a decent tab. Has been cheaper historically, but this is the current best price.

I tried Officeworks price beat and got it for $292.55. So, its a good deal I guess.

Lowest was $194 so hope it goes down further in future… !

    • $95 4G version

  • anyone with this has similar experience where after the battery flat out it won't charge / turn back on ? Got mine for about a year from the optus deal..

    • Charge it first. Press and hold the power button and the volume down this is going to force it to restart.

      • Tried everything possible on the internet. I've sent it in for a warranty. Had a similar experience on the og watch but I managed to revived it using what you mentioned. Not this time tho…

I tried a different charger and it worked after a while.
Just charge then check back in an hr or so, you wont see any activity for a while.

Waiting on the usual comments to say it's underpowered etc.
Did a video on it recently - https://youtu.be/8RLz9skpOyY

Seems fine for the price, as long as you don't multitask and just wanna scroll, browse or watch videos.
If you expect more speed, probably don't look at an A series tab

Yeah people carrying on like it doesn't perform as well as a $1000 alternative are always ridiculous.

That being said, $300 is hard to stomach for this when its been available sub $200. I missed the last sale so waiting for something to pop up closer to that price to jump on.

      • I bought an S5e years ago for only a bit more than this. The S5e performance is poor too but I love it for what it offered and still offers. Good oled screen and quad speakers. It basically an older flagship tablet with lower end SoC at a lower price. When you mainly just want a tablet for multimedia and some light gaming it can’t be beat. The A series at this price does seem to be a little high and not really a bargain. Sub $200 a year ago was a bargain. These $1000 tablets are getting ridiculous expensive imo. The S8 isn’t even oled. I wouldn’t mind updating to a newer tablets with fresh support but unfortunately there’s no lower tier Samsung oled tablets anymore. :(

  • I'm seeing this as $284 in the BIG W catalogue, but $379 on their website. Anyone able to confirm if you can go into store and collect for $284?

    • I had a look at the catalogue and the fine print says the price applies from 01/06 to 21/06.

So give it a couple of days and it should drop in price. Im hoping I can get Office Works to price match the $284 price on Thursday.

  • How good is Lenovo Tab M10 Pro comparing to Samsung Tab A8 if anyone owns? Thanks.

  • S6 lite for $70 more and way better.
