How Do You Pay for Your Flights

Hello all
Just wondering if you have any tips on this.

We have previously bought gift cards with discounts or points offers, i.e. 20x ER or FB points on webjet/flight centre gift cards.

As I don’t have pre purchased gift cards atm and would rather mot wait for something to come along, what’s my best bet?
I can see shopback is offering 3% discount on webjet but thats not a lot considering effort involved plus the fact that webjet has additional fees.

Appreciate your help

Cash (credit card etc), as if you need to cancel or change flights and get money back, it's a lot easier

Screw having gift cards that need to be used at one travel agent

Cash aka POLI. Can't be assed to mess around to save a few dollars or rish being stuck with gift cards I didn't use.

There's so many conditions on airlines and bookings, etc that they few % saving by using a giftcard and booking through a third party is not worth it.

I always pay by card, Paypal or POLi direct to the airline. If I need anything or if anything goes wrong, I'll deal directly with the airline only (so noone can try and push blame)

Credit card with complimentary travel insurance (read the tnc)

    Direct with airline

  • With points generally. Or the cheapest deal available with the airline whenever redemptions are not available.
