I have a friend who wants to buy a gaming laptop. They were going to spend around $2,500 (plus warranty options) which I think is crazy, but I want them to get a decent deal anyway. Is there anything you can recommend, preferably something from Dell because I'm a corporate customer?

This. I have bought a few Metabox laptops and they are great. Yes, the fans are a bit loud at times, but powerful machines.
Haven't used them at "Gaming" machines but used them for heavy users running Adobe products and a lot of multi tasking.
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/776462 is a reasonable deal in that price range. Hasn't been many good deals on RTX4XXX laptops yet.
You could get a Metabox NVIDIA RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6 with i9 Processor and 32GB of RAM for $2,598. Yet that one is a doesn't have good as a processor and not as much RAM.
Check out MetaBox (https://www.metabox.com.au/). I have a couple of laptops from them and they are great, including specs and value. You can select a base model and customise it as much as your budget allows.
