Philips Hue Gradient PC Strip 3x 24"/27" Monitor Kit $242.55 (RRP $499) + Delivery @ Mwave

80

Edit: Now reporting as Out Of Stock

I stumbled across this promo deal, someone might be able to utilise it.

What is it? Add dynamic backlight effects to your gaming monitors, that change colour to match the action on the screen. If you are familiar with the Play Gradient strips for TVs (or the similar Govee kit that pops up every now and again), this is the same thing but for gaming monitors.

This deal is for the Hue Play Gradient PC lightstrip kit for a triple monitor (24" - 27") setup. The single monitor kit is over $300 on its own!
Normally this retails for a smidge under $500, and it doesn't seem to be reduced very often if at all.

Small cashrewards / shopback of 0.7% / 0.5% available, I assume it applies to discounted items as well?

Hue product page: https://www.philips-hue.com/en-au/p/lightstrips-play-gradien…

Because it is intended for use on a PC setup, you don't need the sync box to use this to its full effect to get dynamic lighting effects while gaming, the PC (or Mac) does the work of the sync box itself. You will need the Hue Bridge though if you don't have one already.

Here's one of Philip's videos on the setup. There are plenty of other videos out there but most concentrate on the single monitor kit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2YzC6k1Cas

This promo deal is flagged to run out on May 31 - that's tomorrow! So hop to it.

I have this. This is not gradient. So for a different purpose.

      • Is monitor kit length ~1m per strip

        vs
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/693950

        From other product info

        Length

        90.5 cm

Ahh Mwave publishing that classic foible where they make a tall vertical screenshot rather than text specs

        "187.5 cm"

        • You need to read up on what this does.

It is not a regular lightstrip. Nor is it a standard gradient lightstrip either.

  • These seem like they could look cool. Don't know if i can justify the price though

  • I got a couple of 65” ones for $99 each. Very happy with them.

  • Damn, I do need these but for the TV not for a monitor.

    • yea a 65inch one would be tight

      • Tell me about it. I'm so jelly the guy above us got one for $99. That is an insane price.

  • Would this work for only a 2 monitor setup of a 34" and 27"?
