    I wonder how many businesses realise the anger these "deals" generate when potential customers;

    1. Miss out altogether, or
    2. Get annoyed with the site runs so slow and leave annoyed because a simple transaction took 30 minutes!

    Why don't you put the icing on the cake and incorporate a Facebook like as an essential part of the transaction.

      Careful, I got accused of being a loony for suggesting something along those lines recently… :p

      [edit] Don't get me wrong though, I am batshit crazy; just not for that reason! :D

      I think it's better that they had it than not. At least some people would have a chance.

      For the others - if they don't learn that these deals are hit-or-miss the first time and set their expectations accordingly, I don't think the problem is with the business offering the deal!

      Why penalize all those people who will get the deal just because some others don't like the idea? Those other people can just pretend the deal didn't exist - there'd be no difference to them at all. Let those who don't mind some hassle rush for it.

      Those deals that require facebook … I find them annoying too, but we shouldn't always expect something for nothing. Who doesn't have a second email address anyway? ;)

        I agree… for the seasoned OzBargainer, no problems. But when you are trying to develop a business and attract new customers, it has the opposite affect most times. See COTD flash sales as a perfect example.

        • Who knows, they might be targetting the gambling crowd who might love something like that. ;)

  • Might be less hassle to get it off eBay for about AU$35.63 if you can wait:

    Works out cheaper for those who can't pick this one up

  • Got one of these during the 30% off deals direct sale, it's okay… slow write and read speed though

  • I have the 32GB Cruzer - shocking write speeds. Expect about 1 - 1.5 MB per second. (Takes about 10 minutes to copy a 700MB file!)

    Not likely to buy another Cruzer… too damn slow.
