Thanks OP, might be worth mentioning that it's a VR only game.

  • Which way is the easiest to claim for a noob?

PC users can also use the AddFreeLicense method via web console.

    • Go to https://store.steampowered.com and make sure you're signed in
    • Open web console
      • Control+Shift+J (Chrome, Chromium and Chromium based browsers like Edge/Brave)
      • Control+Shift+K (Firefox)
    • Copy and paste a command into web console and hit enter. Repeat.
      • AddFreeLicense(884249)
      • AddFreeLicense(717430)

    Here's one more. Bad Day

    • AddFreeLicense(244494)

      Worked, thank you very much.

For Firefox (v114.0.1) the [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[K] shortcut didn't work for me, my process was:

      • Open "Web Developer Tools" (Hamburger Menu > More Tools > Web Developer Tools, or [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[I])
      • In the Web Developer Tools bar, activate the Console tab
      • In the console, type or paste the above AddFreeLicense(#) strings. Mine required me to enter "allow pasting" in the console before I could paste the codes in
      • In the console after entering the AddFreeLicense strings, the console itself will just return "undefined", but then the page will refresh and a popup saying "undefined has been added to your account" will appear
      • Easily verify by navigating to your library page and entering the game/s name/s in the search box ("Find a game")
  • Cheers, confirmed they all worked on Chrome mobile using the javascript method, including Bad Day in comment above. I see them all under my activated licences (https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/)
