The 1kg bag is often $1, not the 1.5kg bag.
      I didn't neg you.

This is not normal price, thats why you got negged,I got a bag couple weeks ago for $1 for 1.5 kg but it is on special, usually its$2,even 1kg bag is only on sale for $1 usually
      $1.5nowadays

      • Goes up and down all the time. I think worth keeping an eye. It was $1 3 weeks ago and i hesitated so it went up to $3 with 1kg bag at $2.50 too. But then two weeks ago it was down to $1 again so there must be an oversupply with winter coming. Anyways, I won't waste any further time arguing. Enjoy your carrots 🥕 (https://youtu.be/pwLn_His9Yw)

  • This is the best price at coles/woolies, however i have seen them go as low as 20c/kg at veggie markets

    • Flemington market?I do go there when I was student, they usually sale big bags or boxes

I've been grating these for my Costco roast chicken sandwiches.

      That is a grate story!

    • How come costco roast chicken so oily?

      • Because chickens have a lot of fat in them. They road the chickens and the fat melts, so you end up with lots of oil. The chickens are infused with salty brine before roasting so some of that probably mixes with the fat. You don't get too much juicy oil, really just a large dribble in each plastic tray. The breast is moist and not oily inside.

        • Oh right

I thought chicken was leaner than beef though

Also its been a while but i dont remember woolworths and coles chicken being that oily

          • +3

@ATTS: If you cook a raw whole chicken in your oven you'll get lots of fat too. I put vegetables under the chicken when roasting it myself to elevate the chicken so it's not soaking in the fat, and the vegetables absorb the fat which makes them taste good because fat tastes good.

  • They're perfect….Sorry everyone, i couldn't help myself.

    • +1

no - the label is a play on 'imperfect' as in not perfect shape (which is one reason they're cheaper than perfect ones) - so they add an apostrophe and change it to 'I'm perfect' - you know the marketing principle - take the weakest aspect of your product and turn it into a positive ?

Air-fried carrot sticks are my go-to snack. Thanks for posting the deal, OP!

  • Thanks OP, got one. My local coles are sneakily removing the price tag for this.

    • Really? Maybe all the staff want them for themselves?

      • Not sure. But the price label is somehow gone

    • Indian carrot halwa is an example of adding sugar and turning it into a sweet dessert treat

like Chinese red bean or mung bean 'sweets', Japanese macha (green tea), most wheat flour cakes, pastries, chocolate, cream desserts.

  • yes, I picked up a pack of these the other day….only found out about them when I did a search on carrots on the website and they came up…never even knew they had this pack.

I do enjoy a good cheap root … vegetable :-)

  • What are some good proteins that goes with carrots ?

  • I freeze these and give them to my dog.

She won't eat normal carrot but thinks frozen is some kind of super special food.

    Dumb ass
