God, why do they do this?
Couldnt they just call it the V3 if they made changes?
From what i can tell from here mic on 2023 is better, they added bluetooth which improved battery life but they removed wired analog options for some reason.
Mic doesnt sound super bad on the old one so if you were gonna use the wired options for like, plugging into a console or something you might prefer the old one.
So it would help if you could tell what you were buying.

should have bought the old one for $70 the other day

    • Still a decent price. I have the wireless newer one. It’s awesome but at this price and lower the older one is still good

I picked up the old model by mistake on eBay for $75 i.e. this one. It's a good headset, but the old model does not have bluetooth, so it will only work with a PC / console with the included USB dongle. The microphone is not as good as the new model according to reviews. But I did some testing and thought it sounded OK to me.

The way to tell is that listing for the old model will say "Supercardioid Mic", the new model has "super wideband mic". The old model charges micro USB, the new one has USB-C.

    • Sound from microphone is indeed pretty good, just a bit silent and you need move it closer to your mouth.

  • Great headset if you have a giant head, like me…
