Unable to Access Kayo on TCL Google TV

Hello, just wondering if anyone has an answer or suggestion for this. Have a tcl c835 and have setup my google account. When i go to the play store, and ask to download Kayo or Binge it says "This app is not available in your region". I am doing this in Australia so tried checking my country on google account which is still Australia.

Is anyone else experiencing same issue or have found a resolution? Thank you

  • Streamotion sucks bigly. I've bought another Apple TV because of Streamotion apps because when I cast from my phone to Chromecast it doesn't keep track of what episodes I've watched.

  • My issue with Kayo is that quite often you pick something to watch, and something else pops up.

Install Kodi then get the Kayo addon within Kodi from here

You'll have a much better time all round.

    • Best thing about the kodi addon is it doesnt count towards your number of "screens"
I regularly watch in the man cave whilst my son is watching in the lounge room and i only have the one screen package. Good way to save some cash by not having to fork out for the basic or premium option

  • Shouldn’t I be able to download the Kayo app through Google TV? When i go to play store it pops up saying “it is not available in my country”

do you have your vpn turned on? If so, turn it off.

figure out what version android your tv is running then sideload the Kayo apk

      • no vpn, i updated the android and its a fairly new tv but not sure why it wont download binge or kayo

  • I just checked on my TCL (C715) and I can find Kayo fine.

  • Sorry can’t help with the issue, but I have Kayo installed just fine on my C835.

It’s buggy as hell lately, but it’s the same on my Nvidia Shield so it’s not just a TCL issue.

      Mine's working fine…

Clearly you don’t use the app that much then. Try watching a replay and skipping through a bit and avoid it just randomly starting the stream from the start again.

This impacts everyone I know from multiple devices. So you’re the odd one out.

One or two games a week.

  • Sideload the latest Google TV GSI to your television. Alternatively, you can try deleting the app data and cache of the version you have installed.

You don't have any alternate dns provider or vpn in use?
