A 15% off spare for a useful box

    • Damn useful spare for our double box.

Replaced one after almost fifteen years in 2021. The other is losing plastic bits and will need replacing soon.

  • Thanks OP
A very specific part but looks like other models on special also.
Worth investigating if you have a dish drawer

  • My double dish drawer makes a huge noise when draining
Sometimes have random fault come up. A good soak in vinegar and a wash cycle, keeps the machine going but won't stop the awful noise…I was ready to replace it, but that was at least 3 years ago now, at least I'd say.
I should alternate between drawers but only use the top once for convenience.
I quick run every now and then keeps it going.

I put up with it and just put it on when I leave for work

    • Ours has made a funny loud noise on occasion for years, maybe just before draining. Sort of like a camel, rhino, hippo combo, not sure. Hasn't affected it's operation. We just laugh.

      • That's it. That's the exact sound….

Must be a standard Fisher Price addition

I specifically needed this exact part and was waiting for it to drop at least $15 in price and have just been throwing my dishes off a cliff in the meantime. Thanks OP.

  • You know they only recalled these after 8 years. I replace mine 4 times before the recall and then they broke my dishwasher after “fixing it for free”.

    Never buy fisher and paykel.

By the way they never refunded the 4 previous repairs.

  • Hmm. We’ve got one of these. Wonder if it’s worth prebuying one or two. Ours is ten years old I think. It whirrs a fair bit sometimes.

    • Take it out and check how worn the “fingers” are.
The rubber impeller is the bit which wears out over time.
Also if there is still a fair bit of water sloshing around after the cycle is done, you are nearing replacement time.

      • Thanks. I'm going to have to check the manual, I haven't pulled one of these apart yet.

I also need to somehow glue/screw the pull handle back on one of the drawers, it broke off last year, that's somewhere down on my todo list..

    • My fins on the impeller were fine. It was the plastic casing on the main cylinder that started cracking and falling off. Then the main body started to bulge.
Really noticed it on the first one as it was really hard to extract. I couldn't get it back in. Main reason I checked was the wash wasn't great and there was more water left than usual.
Second one is showing cracks and missing bits, so I've been tracking a good price and bingo, I've ordered.
