Ozbargainers hate that the smart plug blocks the adjacent sockets. This version doesn't work with Apple Homekit.
If you can live with that, this is a good price for 4 smart plugs with energy monitoring.
Camelx3 shows that these come down to $50 frequently, but the last time was early April.

EDIT: - I have connectivity problems out of the box with all 4 plugs. One plug shows on the app, but as disconnected. The other 3 dont show up in the app at all. Your mileage may vary.

A warning from my own experience - I bought a pack of four and three have had an issue where they randomly start clicking on and off multiple times a second - each time it happened thankfully I was home, but I had to rush to my entertainment unit and yank the plug out quickly before it could potentially fry my power board or something.

Never buying from this brand again - I forked out the extra $$ for the TP-Link Tapo plugs and they've been great so far and are a slim form factor that only takes up one socket.

Have some and worked great for years. Never had issue like yours. Love mine, but yes they are big.
Have mine control bedsides and floor lamps all over the house. Other lights are on shelly switches.

      • Because yours don't work at near full load. Try 8A+, it'll fail within a couple of weeks.

      • Also great for controlling garden lights, xmas lights etc and they have very good wifi range (I have one in my rear shed and it works fine) - I had so many "day light" photo sensor type devices fail, these have been on for several years with no issues (noting my application is also very low wattage)

    • Mine got delivered today and already having connectivity issues… and I can see where the huge size would be a problem. Should I take down the deal?

buy 4 and pay for delivery can still be cheaper for some, and you get 2 extra USB charging ports.

Dude. You should post this. I'm getting a couple tomorrow. Thanks for this! Hell, I'll buy 5. Garage, living room, bedroom… and two more for… I don't know… something else.

      EDIT: Non-USB ones here: https://www.bigw.com.au/product/crest-smart-single-adaptor-p…

    • Thanks, got 9. already had 4 meross from last deal but this is good for the usb, ie google nest so it doesnt take up another stocket.

Get short extension leads choose 4/6/8 pack white or black, they're super handy

    • If the other things went well, i would have considered extension plugs, but if you factor in the cost, you can buy tplink smart plugs.

These things SUCK. Don't buy if you plan on using with iOS. They do not work properly with home Kit despite being labelled as compatible.
People will comment here and say their experience has been fine, but don't believe them.

    • I've got a Homekit 4-pack, my experience has been fine.

    • So I should believe you but not believe them, on what basis?

  • I've been using 8 of the Meross smart plugs for years without any problems. Mostly low power applications to control under cabinet lights. A couple are used for heating at 500W power draw.

I did buy TP-Link smart plugs for my in-laws, those were connected to lights. Unfortunately 1 of the TP-Link plugs shorted out causing the LED light that it was connected to burn out and triggered the house breaker. The plug was visibly burnt, fortunately didn't cause a fire. We stopped using the remaining TP-Link smart plugs since.

  • Seems to be up to $69.99 now but you could apply a 10% off coupon.
