Do they sell the "Extreme Copper" version and are they the same price?

    • omg I've been looking for the copper ones for ages. I can never find them online. I hope they have them.

      • +1

The Lowes and Targets I've been to have the "Copper" sock but I've yet to find the "Extreme Copper" one.

        • Im near macquarie park, I didn't think to try the lowes there, but the target only had one pair, and their own brand, which look similar but feel like shoving my foot in sand paper. thanks for the hint

I guess ill go a sock hunting tomorrow :)

  • Last deal I saw for Holeproof was 2-pack for $12 a year ago in four days. Gonna get some more, love holeproof socks!

Your sock-buying memory is better than my life memory. That's embarrassing.

These are not good to wear snowboarding/skiing, your feet will hate you! Alright for just wearing casually though. Football socks are the way to go for hitting the slopes.

      • ok ive got plenty of those ! thanks for the tip

Huh, the current Harris Scarfe catalogue has explorer socks at 1pr for $9 and 3 for $20; claiming that the original cost is $14.95 each. Whereas Big W says the original cost is $16.92 for a two pack.

Do you think Harris Scarfe is a little generous with its 'regular' pricing?

    • HS is the most guilty when it comes to stated RRP.

Everything seems to be $80 RRP, we sell for $15.95.

I have a hole in my holeproof explorers at home, False advertising!

Last time I bought a bunch of pairs of Holeproof Explorer (from regular retailers BigW & Target) I found out the quality has dropped significantly, they were all very tight & stretchy, took ages to get on, wasn't as comfortable :( I think they've cheapened out on their QC

    • Probably cut costs for better profit margins but there's also 16 different models of the sock.

      • I always chose 'Original' & nothing else for the past 15+ years, so I guess they're cheapening out whilst charging the same price (like most products of today…)

  • These socks are so good that I don't need to claim any of these deals coz all the pairs I bought long ago are still in good nick.

  • Best I've seen them any time recently was 2 pairs for $11 (at Woolies, couple of times a year) so this is pretty good.

I sure wish women's explorers would come up on special a bit more often.

So you can explore the kitchen a bit?

      • What's that?

      • It's called male chauvinism…

    • I didnt know socks were gender specific

      • It's the sizes.

  • are these any good as hiking socks? going on the inca trail later this year

  • yes! explorer socks! I'm wearing some right now!

  • I am just looking for socks! Great deal!

  • great deal thanks

Wasn't sure what to get so I just got a pack of cotton blend to try out

How good are these when they are worn in work boots? Do they last long?

    • Im still wearing the pair of holeproof explorers I bought 6 years ago.

      • in Steel Cap Boots?

Well considering you bought them 6 years ago it's probably more like 3 years now considering nothing is made to last now days :(

    • cotton isn't as durable and is more likely to pong. for socks in general i've found cotton is more likely to cause blisters when they lose their shape after too many washes.

      • So I take it Wool is the better one to get then?

I'll get some over the weekend if I get a chance
