Recommend Me a Laptop from The Good Guys Commercial Store! - Budget $1500

Hi all, have to buy a laptop from The Good Guys commercial store, and they don't seem very good for the money (2 generation old Ryzen etc). Budget is $1000, but I can ask for more up to $1500.

Ideally I'd like 14" format with USB C display out/charging.

Perfect would be Zen 3+/16gb 14" with USB C charging/output.

Anyone with access know which is the best fit from TGG commercial?

Why don't you get access so that you can search yourself?

        • they do… they are seeking recommendations

@follow: Well, if you know OP has access and the minimum specs then why are recs required?

if there is one that matches what you are looking for on their main website, you can send an enquiry through the "contact us" section and they'll generate a quote.

    • ^This. Doesn't even have to be a product on their retail website. You can send a price inquiry for any laptop sold in Australia through official distributors with Good Guys having access to their product inventory. I have personally done this and in my case they quoted for some Sonos products not sold either on GG retail or commercial.

      • are you saying if the good guys are selling a brand but not a particular item, they can source that particular item?

        • +1

Yes, if they can they will give you a quote. Doesn't have to be on either of their sites but it will be a special order and you will have to get it delivered.

    • But you wrote above that

Thanks all, especially @follow and @websterp I didn't know I could send a query. The laptop that would suit is from lenovo but not part of TGG commercial, so I have asked them for a quote and I can send that on to the org using TGGC for the order and see if they can get hold of that, it's kind of frustrating as the purpose of TGG commercial is a 'better deal' but they charge a lot for old tech seemingly in the hope buyers don't know/care what they are getting, rather than best value.

  • Thanks all, I managed to speak to someone from TGG and they said if it's not on the regular or commercial website they can't, and to go to JB hifi for more range! fair enough they're not really a PC reseller, more white goods, but frustrating, as nothing in their range meets my list, and what they have is both old and grossly overpriced!. Will go back to supply company to see if I can go another way via a business invoice.
