Wine Enthusiast review:
This South Aussie Cab delivers in a big way. It opens with bright, lucid aromas of red berry, baking spice, tree bark and flowers.
The tannins are well-integrated, soft yet present, gently tugging on the fruit, which gets a lift from the crunchy acidity.
It’s a modern, medium-weight Aussie Cab that should be a weeknight staple.
92 & Editor's Choice.

Wine Pilot review:
The range of wines from the 2019 harvest put out by Bec Hardy and her team show that this is a very much underrated vintage. This Cab is crimson red, and does hail from the more herbal end of the Cabernet spectrum – not everybody’s cup of tea, but for those who enjoy this style, they’ll find this to be absolute cracking value. Tobacco leaf, cherries, dry herbs, red fruits. This is a softer style of Cabernet. Has some early development evident. Decent length, gentle acidity and lingers nicely. Certainly has a good half dozen or more years ahead of it. 90.

Purchased this on a previous deal and was not a fan at all. Now being used for cooking wine.

Sorry but just giving me feedback

    • Thanks @d0nkey - one of the great things about wine is the subjectivity of it. I'll be honest I'm not a big fan of it either - like you, Bec and I have wines we like and wines we rarely drink at home even from those we produce! On the other side of that, we have sold more of this wine than any other wine in 40 years! :-)

Please do PM me the order number though, I'd like to be in touch privately.

Have a great weekend. Richard :-)

        Pm'd

Totally subjective of course but then there is just not good

        • As you say, totally subjective as there's others with differing opinions.
Thanks for the PM. The order number you PM'd me is not one of ours. Perhaps you can PM your email address and I'll trace it from that. Cheers! RD :-)

        • Thanks @d0nkey for the clarification by PM. You are correct it is one of our numbers from the previous website - I'll be in touch with a resolution. Have a great weekend! RD :-)

          • @RD ADL: Just wanted to shout to RD for the customer service he has shown.

He has looked after my concerns on an order that was well over a year old that I had no intention of expecting. Above and beyond.

            • @d0nkey: Thanks @d0nkey - really appreciate the acknowledgement, thank you. Enjoy the rest of the week! Richard :-)

  • Thanks Richard, was just starting to get a bit low. For $8 it’s a great quaffer. Compares well with the $12-15 range at Dans. And you’re delivering it to my door!

Thanks, also on my last bottle. This stuff is great for the price, would recommend using a decanter or giving it some time to breathe before drinking to help bring the fruitiness out.

  • Thanks @bargainben and @Superjesus - swing away and enjoy! Cheers! RD :-)

  • any green shiraz left?

    • All gone I'm afraid. Cheers! RD :-)

Not supposed to cheers with an empty glass?

  • Hi Richard, Would you explain (in layman's terms) the difference between this and your Limestone Coast Cabernet Sauvignon 2020, please?

    • +1

Both made for the US which has a different flavour profile for Cab Suav than Australia. the Limestone Coast is slightly more fuller bodied and a year younger but similar wines. Cheers! RD :-)

  • Can I get a delayed delivery on this deal?

    • Hi @James tee. Indeed you can. Simply put the request in the notes at checkout. Cheers! RD :-)

      • Hi RD, Just placed my order with note now, thanks!

        • Thanks @James tee. Enjoy. Cheers! RD :-)
