    "Collect 150 reward keys to save $10 on IKEA home furnishings and accessories"

    So now you have to spend $750 to get $10; as opposed to the old system where you spend $100 to get $10?

    Not sure it's much of a deal.

    • It says you also get rewards by doing activities as:
      Log in to your IKEA Family profile (on web or app);
      Create and save a wish list;
      Register and attend a free IKEA Family event, in-store or virtual;
      Book and attend an in-store or virtual planning appointment (excludes business);

      I don't know how many "Keys" you get for each of those.

        They tell you if you're logged in.

        It's basically just bad gamification.

        • Thanks. I have updated description.

        I liked the old system. I purchased my wardrobe last year by opening four accounts to get the $10 signup bonus, then bought three frames and a door in March, then used the $10 vouchers to get the internals, hinges and another door in April. Only downside was waiting for July to get the rest of the doors.

        In hindsight, it's probably the reason they scrapped the $10 reward system.

        I might see if there is an easy way to get "keys" on this new system.

        • People that don't shop at IKEA that often can get "Keys" quite easily with the activities.

  • @WookieMonster is this a new Rewards system from IKEA? Because I never heard of this Reward "Keys" before.
    And thanks for the nicely done table on description.

      It was introduced on 01 June 2023. You can read about it in the updated IKEA Family terms and conditions (and that is also where I sourced the table for the description).

      As you probably gathered by now, this is the replacement of the quarterly reward voucher system.

      • Oh no! That means no more quarterly reward vouchers? I thought that's what they said a while ago but we still got one. I am guessing that would be the last one.

        • +2

          The last quarter where you could earn a $10 quarterly reward voucher upon spending $100 or more on eligible purchases was Jan-Mar 2023.

          The last quarter where you can redeem a $10 quarterly reward voucher is Apr-Jun 2023. It means you can redeem that voucher until 30 June, plus also earn reward keys for the amount you spend after applying the voucher.

    This sounds awfully like Pavlov’s dog, how many keys does my dog get for ringing a bell ? Ppfff i miss the days of just getting a discount per $ spent

    So much work for meagre rewards.

    • Some people have time to spend doing this, some people have less time and would rather spend the money instead. You get to choose your own adventure.

    This is bloody crap

  • The good news is I just got my $10 birthday coucher. Minimum spend 50. I wont be using it this year. Also live far from stores

    • +1

      I think you can use it to buy a $50 gift card for only $40. You then have 3 years to use it.

    this sounds like a job

  • I have an IKEA Business account (all needed is an ABN). It seems as though, unsurprisingly, you can't have a IKEA Business account and also access these IKEA Family rewards.

    • Do you know if you can use gift cards when making a purchase with an IKEA Business account?

      • No idea. Sorry.

        • +1

          No problem. I contacted IKEA support and they confirmed that gift cards can be used with IKEA Business accounts.
