Good Mens Winter Colognes on a Budget?

Hey all

I'm looking to buy a good winter scent but not really sure what to buy. I need something that's good on dates, nights out and the occasional formal event.

Right now I only have two bottles, which are Versace Dylan Blue and Armaf club de nuit intense. I do like them, but they're both citrusy so I wanna get something new. I was eyeing the Azzurro bottles but they're all oos on chemist warehouse.

Budget wise, I'd rather not pay more than $50 unless its a big bottle 100ml+ .

Any good suggestions or is my criteria too strict??

      Second Azzaro Wanted. Also Encre Noire (which can be hard to find) and Spice Bomb. Last two definitely try before you buy.

        I second Spice Bomb. My hubby has worn it for years, and it never gets boring. He also wears the Fireplace one from Maison Margiela (sold at Mecca). Damn it's good…and perfect for winter!

    Have you considered a much more subtle scent, perhaps none at all except your soap and deodorant.
    Perhaps you might have a wider market for ”dates, nights out” if you have a very subtle, or almost undetectable scent?

      I say this because I have never met a person who says they were turned off by a lack of scent - but I know many who found someone off putting because they chose poorly.

        Cologne is meant to compliment your body odour. Adults don't smell like nothing at all, they smell like body odour.

          knew a girl who didn't wear perfume and just used a neutral bo spray and I could not smell her, she had no scent to me, rare, but to my friend she smelled great

            @Sinnerator: Assuming you didn't get very far with her because, if you did, I'm sure you wouldn't say there's "no scent"… haha

        There is a whole world of pheromones at work in relationships. Rattles away at almost the sub-conscious level.
        If it were me I would wear cologne to keep the women away…..

    Get a sample of anything from Tom Ford, Amouage, Penhaligons or Parfums de Marly off eBay

    The more traditional Hugo Boss range is sandalwood based and suitable for winter. Can get at CW etc. Just try before and not all at once.

    If you're into a dark vanilla with terrific performance - Mercedes Benz Club Black

    Otherwise Club de Nuit for men (the 1 million clone) is great bang for buck.
