  • Entered code and not it's gonna expire in 1 day :(

  • @angryavocado - so its $20 off each and every week until 27th Aug?

  • never used this company can someone confirm if rides are fixed upfront fares

    • +3

It's pretty much fixed upfront price but their drivers sometimes accept and later cancel your booking. So it's not very reliable service.

    • +1

Not quite fixed as they can add some fare adjustments at the end. Usually happens to and from airports, not sure whether for tolls or whatever…

  • Thanks for sharing AngryAvocado! Will definitely use it tonight.

  • Thanks op. Juse took Didi to work this arvo.

  • Bugger. I made a second account on my pbone. Now both accounts can't use code anymore. 😂

  • Hmm I just got the following notification from the DiDi app, and I'm in Melbourne:

DiDi: Rekindle the flame with FREE rides…
We’re luring you back with this irresistible offer! Enjoy free rides every week (9AM - midnight, Monday - Wednesday only). Use code: FREERIDE20. Valid until 3/9/23

There is no mention of only $20 off, and the expiry date is different to what was reported here. When I tap the notification it auto-fiils a promo code of FREERIDE20 and try to apply it, it fails with ERROR: This promo code is no available in your location. Then why the heck did you push it to me?

Yep, main downside of didi is how unreliable the drivers are IMO. They cancel a lot compared to Uber. So not worth relying on if you’re running late

    • I guess the drivers are the same i.e. they run both apps, but Uber is offering them a higher rate so they gazump the Didi job if an Uber one comes up?

  • I just saw this on TimeOut Sydney saying 12wks from today (27 Jun) so it runs to Sept.

    https://www.timeout.com/sydney/news/didi-is-giving-away-one-…

Also for new signups its not limited to day/time of week.

    • Yes it is, I just tried on a new account and it's saying MON-WED only, after 9am.

      • He means the referral ride. It's not limited.

  • Yes using multiple phones just wish worked before 9am coz I work before that

  • Thanks OP using it to get to airport today

  • Wondering has anyone have issues connecting to a driver?

I was able to see DiDi cars around and not able to form a ride. After putting the destination address, there is no countdown clock and the page is just still for more than 5 minutes. When I clicked cancel, it will just ask me to cancel or wait. My partner has the same issue. Contacted customer service, they said they detected unusual activities

We were both new and just signed up. We probably using the same home wifi and location but used a different card for payment and mobile number to sign up.

    • Have you signed a new account on the same phone? If so then your account got lomited. You won't be abale to use any offer anymore.

    • Same. No drivers in several Sydney locations. Waste of time

  • New phone. First sign up. Unsure why

  • I was a new user so I theory had any time rides, after the first use the voucher reset to Mon to Wed. I referred someone else as a new user and it did exactly the same. I keep contacting didi customer service who have refunded a few but they miss the point about I was originally offered any time. So this promo has had the opposite effect on me. I did use didi a few times beyond the free voucher but now, back to uber for me.

  • hey should this be NSW and not sydney only?

  • +1

    It's still on this week!

    • +1

      Can confirm! Used successfully today!

  • +1

    Still working

  • Just tried not working anymore

  • Seems it's not working anymore…
