[Switch] Nintendo 64 Controller $69.95 + Shipping ($0 with $80 Spend) @ My Nintendo Store (NSO Membership Required)

490

It’s only been a couple of months, but Nintendo 64 controller restocks are on the way.

Nintendo 64 Controller for Nintendo Switch Online will be restocked this week, 12pm AEST Thursday 15th June 2023. Once again you’ll need a Nintendo Switch Online account to buy them, and you can only buy up to four per account.

So if you missed out the first couple of times, or want to get to that magic four number – now’s the time. Well, Thursday, is the time, not right now.

That gives you a couple of days to get ready, set your alarms last time they lasted a fair while, but did sell out the same day.

Ah the days of using one controller in each hand to play One Player Goldeneye, one of the best controller settings ever!

… Seriously who's using OZ Bargain for RRP posts like this? It should have posted on forum.

Extremely helpful for me! I put the reminder in my Calendar as I’ve been chasing one for a while now.

    • These are rarely in stock, so it's cool to see when they're back in.

  • Anyone else notice an input lag when playing games like Goldeneye with these controllers? How can you get around it?

    • It is Bluetooth so there will always be an input lag. No way around it.

      • Wah.. They can't be directly plugged in to elimate lag?

    • Well I will see for myself. Bought 1 for playing goldeneye specifically lol. Good memories of playing that game :)

Be extra careful to make sure to cancel and check and double check NSO membership after buying.

I signed up just to buy these, cancelled membership but Nintendo kept charging me. They refused to refund and said I was wrong repeatedly, despite having screenshots of cancellation.

Eventually they refunded 'as a gesture of goodwill' after I said I'd have to dispute the fraudulent charges, was bloody painful dealing with their customer support…

Did they fix the issue that made the stick age so terribly on the OG 64 controllers? I'd consider picking one up for retro games if so.

    • You'll find out after a game of Mario Party 😉

    • I think they use the same joystick part as originally used in the 90's.

Given that many here are only getting these for nostalgia, it'll start to gather dust before the sticks even wear out.

    • Never experienced that on the og controllers but have with 1 joycon set and 2 pro controllers for the switch - It was near impossible to shinespark in Metroid dread with a malfunctioning stick :/

  • Worked well for Tony hawk back in the day

  • Do these work on the PC via bluetooth?

  • $7.95 for postage, or free postage with $80+ spend.

  • Doesn’t look like anymore

    • 10min until it's live.

      Available now.

  • Live now.

  • Nice, ordered one. Pick-up option is useful for those living in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Picked one up. Few months ago picked up the Mayflash adapter which after you update the firmware works ok with NSO. https://www.mayflash.com/product/n64_controller_adapter_mf10…

Looks like scalpers have given up.

    Hurray !

  • Lol. Yeh was in shops when I saw it was live and then I realised it wasn't 12am AEST time haha - just happy to finally get 1.
