Got my cashback for Microsoft 3000 Wireless Mouse

The original thread is closed so I can't post to it, so posting here. I received the $11.99 cashback in my account a couple of days ago. end of August like they said. So I have a wireless mouse that cost me $2.01, yay! Those of you who applied for the cashback might want to check your account.

  • I got 2 cash-backs in my bank account today! Also tried to post on the original thread.

    Interesting to note that they honoured the cash back for my mightyape.com.au xbox controller purchase. I decided to send the claim even though it clearly showed NZ company details, I put a handwritten note saying "purchased from mightyape.com.au" which seems to have worked.

    Wireless Desktop 3000: $38.99 Cashback, cost me $29.01 (bought on special at HN for $68)
    Wireless Xbox controller: $26.99 Cashback, cost me $12.91 (bought for $39.90 inc shipping)

    Very happy!

    I claimed 3 items in the same form, they have refunded me only one. Then I sent an email and they replied saying that I had to submit separately and now the promotion is over, they are not willing to do any other communication about this matter. I really appreciate you ideas and suggestions about this.

    • Sadly the T&C do state this. Hubby made the same mistake with a couple of $150 cashbacks from compaq a couple of years ago.

      I still have NO cashback. Are the payments just dribbling in, or should I be contacting someone?

      EDIT Just went to the original link to get an email address, but it's no longer working. Can someone provide it please?

        I have only had 1 of my 2 cashbacks and I did them on the same form. I will be contacting them and asking for the second.

        • After the incident with the laptops, I'm always careful to check, and it definitely did state that only one cashback could be claimed per application. To be doubly certain I was fulfilling the T&C I even posted both claims in separate envelopes. lol

          The way this is worded would suggest there was some ad libbing in that post. It's not Microsoft language.

          Only 1 claim per person is eligible to receive the Offer.

          And I have a feeling that may actually be the point we're discussing, only reworded for some reason. Each person was eligible to make up to 3 claims.

        • I read the T&C clearly as well and cant remember anything about separate claims. I would put that down to them only updating clause 4 when they increased the number of claims to 3.

          Microsoft: "There has been a modification to Clause 4 of the Terms & Conditions which states "Only 1 claim per person is eligible to receive the Offer". We are now allowing up to 3 claims per person!"

          Thank you for processing my cash back. However, I have just received a single cash back, when I applied for 3 after the terms were changed to: "We are now allowing up to 3 claims per person!". This claim was done online and the form allowed me to submit 3 at once, so this is confusing to me why only 1 was accepted. Can I get clarification on this please?

          Will wait to see what they say.

  • Someone put the wrong bank account details on at least one of their claims - what a dill! lol

  • What's the most recent contact anyone's had with [email protected]? I put in three separate claims for three eligible items, and only received a rebate for two.

    • Just an update - I've received a response from them apologising and promising to process the missing rebate in the next few weeks, so that contact is still active for anyone else with cashback issues.

      • I just got my extra cashback a few days ago. :)
