  • Have you tried these? They look a bit spongey, but I'm coming from Vibram Five Fingers Trek.

    • no mate, not tried these before, but have ordered a pair to give them a try. Mostly read decent reviews, so hopefully should be good.

    • +2

I've got some viva neo's. Definitely not spungey - zero drop, you can take the insert out if you want to be closer to the earth. They have a big toe box - the theory being that your toes can naturally spread and feel for the ground. The "spongey bit" you see in the picture is just rubber going up the side, there definitely no sponge in the sole.

I don't run in them (I wear VFF bikila for running), but they're great casual kicks. I have run down the street - no issues at all.

This is a great price (though I think the mesh are ugly).

I normally wear a 42 or 43. I got a 42 in these (also tried 41 & 43). They feel big until you get used to them - but for me my toe touched the ends of the 41 (though there was plenty of space). My VFF's are a 41.

      • Why don't you run in them? Have you ever tried running in them? Even on grass/sand? I have a pair of Bikila LS too which cost me around $180 if I can even get a quarter of the mileage out of these I would be happy. I have a pair of NB 730s for casual wear (I'm happy with) so don't need another pair of minimal casual shoes. Thanks

  • shipping price to aust?
    cheers

    • +1

shipping is £10, that is included in the prices given above.

  • "Please note: For a better fit, we advise going down a size in this style."

Should i go for one size smaller?

  • What's the difference between Ladies and Mens models?

    • Usually size and colours (though no guarantee!). Women's sizes will go to 41, men's start at 41ish.

Just remember to eat a few different types to make sure you get a good balance of amino acids! ;)

  • grabbed a pair. thanks for posting.

  • Awesome. Was going to pay an exorbitant price at athletes foot for something similar. Also got one of those nike squeezy bottles.

  • Thanks! Bought 2 pairs for my parents.

  • Grabbed a pair and also a couple of running t-shirts while I was at it. Thanks!

btw… if you can't find your size, Vivobarefoot Neo Trail sells for $149 at Sports.Lab in Westfield Doncaster.

    • +1

start fitness sell the neo trails for around $70

      • I said… if you can't find your size. Neo Trail in StartFitness doesn't sell size 43 and 44 which I think are quite common. I was just pointing out that in Melbourne you can find it under $150.

I wanted to buy it from StartFitness as well but I couldn't find size 44.

This post is hardly a deal for people looking for those sizes.

Thanks OP! Got a pair of EVO shoes, running tights, shirt, and sports bra for under $100 aud delivered. That's a whole outfit right there…! Great prices, esp. on the first 3 items.

Re: sizing. I read up on EVO II sizing for ages and found the official VivoBarefoot website really helpful.

Click on "How will it fit" and compare the EVO sizing to your current shoe. Very nifty tool!

(oops - just saw that this hint was posted above… must have missed it the first time I checked the thread)

  • my barefoot, a singlet, and some good song will keep me running in summer. It's still bargain.

    • Are you actually running barefoot? I'm ver interested to hear of someone who is. Currently reading Barefoot Ken Bob's book, would love to start running barefoot (shoeless) through springtime.

      • Drunks night out and smashed glass can stop u from running for weeks it's really sad

        • Thank for the head up.As a matter of fact i haven't encounter any problem like that, i guess it's depend where you run and live as well.

      • Yes i am, only in summer though. Because my foot get cold extremely quick in winter due to a foot-perspiring condition i have seen-as-long-as-i-can-remember. I suggest you start to run on soft surface ( ie grass, footy oval ) where you know that no nasty object beneath. Enjoy
Edit: Be sure to do some good warm up and down, please don't take your legs for granted … they are still blood and flesh you know.

  • Looks like a great deal for some really comfortable shoes. Thanks OP. Just need to find some compression gear now as not paying silly prices in Rebel.

Received mine yesterday. I haven't had a chance to go for a run in them, but they fit properly and look well made.

Only problem is that they didn't come with the free more mile socks :(

    • shame! Still waiting on mine will update when they reach hopefully monday

    • Sent them an email to let them know the socks were missing. I wasn't overly concerned because it was a great deal regardless, however within a couple of hours I received an email saying they'd sort it out. 8 minutes later and I received a new order number with the socks. Very impressed!

      • kinda makes u realize what crap customer service we have here in Aus!
