  • Why is it that I always see the word free first then check back to see that it hasn't started yet because I didn't finish reading the rest of the post.

Errr…. It says "Tomorrow" in the listed item and the text is of a different colour. It was also the first word in the subject line. :-)

How is that any more important than the word "Free" on a bargain site? :)

I do often wonder if we’re better off just waiting until the free games are live before posting. I’m not gonna remember the next day, I’m sure as hell not gonna remember in 7 days for some of them, and posting early means anyone posting when they’re live will have their post removed for being a duplicate

You can setup a reminder, just click the bell icon that's adjacent to or under the tags.

        I can think of a few reasons…

There would be a lot of duplicates with everyone waiting to post the deal as it goes live.

Posting early also makes people aware not to buy a game knowing that it'll be free in a while.

People don't check Ozbargain everyday so may miss out if it's only posted on the day and it's free for only a limited time.

        Edit:

As for a response to your reasons:

        Use the reminder function.

People are supposed to check if there is already another deal before posting their duplicate deal - it's literally built-in to the form.

  • I prefer Joy Division, but beggars can't be choosers. Thanks OP
