Impulse buy after the Kmart special made me rage quit cooking last night when the tray and handle separated while I was tossing my roast pumpkin, sending it all over the floor, only for the dog to try and gobble it up so fast he burnt his mouth and wouldn't come near me for the rest of the night as if it was my fault he's such a guts.
Can't be worse than a 4 year old Anko can it?

    • Not alone.
My 3 yr old Philips separates without warning also.

    • Haha sounds like a sketch to me

  • Not bad,$129.95 @ Amazon

    • This is probably a price error. Someone missed the leading 1 when typing the number 🕵️

      • +3

I agree it could be a price error but doubt it's $155. Everywhere else including myer, bunnings Amazon is selling at $130.

        • +2

          It's $159.00 through Woolies

          • +2

@onlybargains: Google says it was $139 on Coles BestBuys.
            Hopefully they will deliver. :D

      • +2

I think you are right. Still, I hope we can remember that if we don't really need it then we shouldn't get it, as $55 is a lot for something we won't use… or will force down somebodies throat for Christmas.. and they won't use it.

      • There is a 23L Healthy Choice Fryer/Oven for only $99 delivered for a standard of price comparison, but could be an older model.

Hope it does its job well.

  • +1

    Bought 1.
    Looks like it's drop shipping.
For this price, I will take the gamble.

  • +2

I bought healthy choice products before and they were always good quality to price for me.

  • +1

Perfect timing, Thanks OP. I was considering purchasing the Breville One air fryer oven but I’ll try this cheaper one first. I got a normal air fryer that I love but I want a drawer type of one for roasting veggies while do I chips in the regular one.

  • +1

Bought, thanks OP. Worth a shot to see how it goes.

  • +1

    3% cashback via CR.

  • Thanks OP, copped.

  • +2

Bought this as it is fully stainless steel inside without non-stick PFOA's, Teflon etc.

It looks like a nightmare to clean, compared to a regular airfryer where you just take the basket out (or just its plate) and wash it in the sink or even dishwasher.

That meal in the photos is a size of a pigeon, if somebody thinks it's a whole chicken in it.

    • For cleaning, just use kitchen paper towel with soap water.
For $55 I won't be bother to much.

      Someone took a video here.
      https://www.amazon.com.au/Healthy-Choice-stainless-steel-Con…

It definitely looks like it can fit a mid size, say 2kg chicken.

      • That's a big hand in that video.

    • +1

There's always a compromise. Those wanting convenience will go for PFOAs, Teflon, plastics. Others may go for stainless steel, cast iron, enamel. I'd prefer a bit of inconvenience to sucking in carcinogenic chemicals.

And with respect - "regular" air fryers started out like this https://www.harrisscarfe.com.au/electrical/kitchen-appliance…
Then philips or whoever introduced closed pod versions for frozen chips and people who don't like to cook went stupid.

  • bought, thanks op, at this price ill try and make room on my limited counter top.

  • Won't deliver to my area. Good find by OP.

    Ozbargained for the first time,

    Ozbargained for the second time,
Third and final time, are we all done!? Are we all silent!?…

    • The fillers are looking for more out the back, it's a tense few moments as we wait to see if they come back out the big plastic doors with box-in-hand, or if they aren't even checking and are just chatting before they come tell us they ran out. Or maybe they are finding out about the price themselves and have kept the stock for themselves and family to buy later.

    • it's bAAAAAAAAACK!

  • +1

Jeez was in cart and sold out during check out

  • +4

I wasn't going to buy it but now it's OOS I really want it.

    go go GOOOOOOO!

KEN BRUCE HAS GONE COMPLETELY MAD!

  • +1

    Just purchased, $55 delivered

  • Suspect this will be energy inefficient.
From the lenoxx link it looks like the door is just a glass sheet with no insulation, so you'll be continuously losing heat through it.
So it's kind of a big, digital toaster oven.
In comparison my Sunbeam 5L air fryer/oven is insulated all round, and doesn't lose much heat - nothing gets hot to the touch.

    • Great for winter, no energy loss

    • 5l, no glass, can't see what you're cooking, no rotisserie, no dehydrator…. Hmmm

      • -1

Sunbeam has double glazed door - glass inside, clear plastic outside. And a rotisserie and dehydrator. Wife uses the latter overnight (50C for 8 hrs) to dry fruit, which uses <1 kwh. This oven would lose much that through its uninsulated door. It sure is cheap, but it's an old skool appliance that does the job for cheap, but pisses energy in the process.

        • Had a look at some pics on Amazon and looks like the door is double layered. Will see from reviews once it arrives how good/bad the insulation is.

          • @Ranike: FWIW this Pic indicates the front door it is a single glass layer

Ease of cleaning rather than gunked up layers over time I suppose

            • @Wally: Yeah might be the case. I was looking through the amazon pics which are a bit different and saw this one which looks more like two pieces with metal wrapped around to help hold them together.

I ordered one in any case, here's hoping for two layers and not a massive heat producing box!

              • @Ranike: All these ovens lose more heat through the top where the dual fan also cools the circuit board, power supply and controls (weird design but hey). There's also a vent at the top back that lets lots of heat out. Not much heat escapes through the front glass other than through poor seals on the side.

        • Which 5L sunbeam air fryer has a glass door? Can't see anything online.

  • +2

Air fyers are turning into ovens.

  • Thanks OP, bought at 235pm.
    Delivers to Tasmania

  • Thanks OP

  • what size to fit a whole chicken ?

  • OOS

    • I think it just clicked to Coles that it was a pricing error.

  • +1

OK guys, it was fun, it was great, but I think it's finally over, and I just have a sneaking suspicion that the penny has just dropped about the price being incorrect.

    • +2

After 3 restocks? .. prolly more a stock take clearance before 30 June maybe?

      • Now I am even more sus', because…. On the third re-stock of 200, it was going down, but as it got to 175, Coles pulled the whole listing while it made edits… Didn't even say it was out of stock, but pulled it completely until the new price of $139 was added…

I think they had it mixed up with another product and are now working with the marketplace seller as to how to resolve…
IMO, the conversation might have the marketplace seller claiming not only is it under cost, but they don't have that many to sell, and Coles is saying that they are still liable for the fees associated with the sales, on top of any penalties that come under the contract for not being able to fulfill orders.

The third-party seller will regret the day it's pricing error got leaked on OzB.
        MuzeeB will be fired again!

        • +2

Yeah, probably similar to the Myer one with the mattresses. But at least got a 10 dollar voucher out of it.

        • you know so much of the details !

  • +2

price has been fixed to $139.

  • +1

    anyone saved screenshot ?

  • Can't you just walk into Coles and pick one up for $55?

    • No, this was a third-party seller selling their goods on the coles marketplace. It's not available in any coles stores.

      • .. and faulty units cannot be simply returned to a Coles outlet.

It will need to be shipped back to the seller for warranty cover etc

  • -1

yikes. 16L. Ready to cook your bugs. Can see where this is going.

  • +2

    Mine got shipped.

  • +2

    Received shipped email.
But it provides a tracking link to
    https://tms.futuresupplychains.com/
Which is a company with an Indian address and shows website error.
    Feeling worry.

    • That's weird, mine was shipped via Couriers Please

    • +2

update: it's now added in my AusPost app
      Metro Melbourne.

  • My tracking is via www.couriersplease.com.au, but "That consignment doesn’t look quite right".
couriersPlease are not very reliable so - patience & check again or call.

    • it’s only because the shipping info has not been updated in the system. Mine has been updated and it’s showing the parcel has been picked up from sender

  • -3

Oh boy, if this turns out to have been a scam the comments are going to be priceless :)

    • the domain is fine so it was not a scam.

    • The returns page says that you're dealing with Coles if you have any problems even for warranty so I'm not worried. And I think the seller was Lennox which is a semi big mob.

  • is this really stainless steel inside? cant find any info about the interior?

  • +1

just received a refund email from them…anyone in the same boat?

    • Yes same :(

    • Odd, I ordered 10 mins after you and mine was just delivered.

      • +1

        arr…..maybe because I'm in Tasmania?

  • Just received my delivery this morning. Thanks OP!

  • +1

    Received one.

Can confirm this is NOT stainless steel inside, standard steel with some sort of coating. Only the front panel is stainless steel.

Overall really poor quality imo. If anyone wants it for 55 bucks let me know (pickup inner west nsw), otherwise im returning it for my money back.

    • +1

Also only 1600W I've just noticed, cook times will be longer than the 1800w-2000w air fryers.

    • Hi mate, how did you got with trying to return?

Im the same, if anyone wants mine for $55 pickup (inner-west sydney NSW) let me know.
