  i bought a similar heavily discounted waterpik from ebay a few years back. It was huge and noisy, but very powerful , the top setting could just about strip enamel.

  The issue was that replacement tips were horrendously expensive because the newer model parts didnt fit mine. No local stores had replacement parts and online parrts were 2-4 times the cost.

  Dont know if this will be the case with this model, but might be worth grabbing a few packs of tips early

  Yeah, my dentist said the water flosser techology remains unproven.

    You still have to use dental floss after using Waterpik.
