CD/DVD Printer Recommendation

Hi everyone,
It's my first forum post here, lately there are many cashback and All-in-one printer offers on OzBargain. However through my research, I am having quite a hard time finding a cheap printer that can help me print on CD/DVD's. cheapest one I can find are Epson R290, and some HP one slightly over $100.
In the perfect world, I would love a tiny standalone CD/DVD printer like those photo-printers, but normal inkjet, AIO is alright as long as they don't cost a arm. If any of you can recommend on something here??

Thanks in advance

  • The R290 is an excellent printer, infact the older Epson R210 and R230 are too. Don't bother getting an AIO unless you absolutely need it. Please keep in mind that the cheapest printer isn't always the better option. They will get you back through the cost of the consumables (cartridges). For one, cheaper printer may not have individual cartridges for each colour. Look into Rihac's CISS system addon for cheap printing http://www.rihac.com.au/. See what printer it supports and then go from there.

    • Thank you so much, I bought a R390 and now is using it plugged to my router (USB), instantly becomes by network printer. The CD/DVD printing is very easy to use and quality is awesome!! Thanks your advise.

      • Excellent. What router are you using btw? Having a print server as part of the router is definitely handy!

        • Sorry for the late reply, I use an Apple Time Capsule which comes with an USB port for either printer or HDD. The Apple Airport Extreme (non HDD version) has basically the exact functions.

Both support dual band wireless N 2.4 or 5 GHz
Gigabit ethernet - great for NAS
USB port for printer or HDD
